No. We shouldn't even think about repeating the mistake of two years ago and hiring a HC that was just fired. Not for nothing, but do you guys not learn anything from history?
Hes not gonna get fired....Hes responsible for there only Superbowl win.He will get another year if not 2.
There are always exceptions. How many others are there like him, and how many more are there those like Gase? Look at Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys. Think how upset and frustrated we'd all be if he was our HC now instead of Gase. The Cowboys are awful and McCarthy has nothing, no answers, and his offense is as antiquated as Gase's is.
Perhaps. It's still weird and more than a little ironic that we've spent most of last year, the offseason and this season talking about what a mistake it was to hire Gase immediately after he was fired by Miami without his taking time off or taking a coordinator position and thinking about what went wrong in Miami, and now you and others are talking about doing the same thing with Pederson.
Peterson is being ROASTED by the Philly media. I am more and more convinced that all the "great" or "good" coaches remain as such only so long as their teams win, their QB's play well, and the OL's protect the QB.
everyone gave him shit for punting for the tie but that tie is the reason they are leading the division after 11 games
I said before that he may be a good choice. However, after last night's game, I'm not too sure. I really don't like when coaches take the stance that they will not pull "their quarterback" under any circumstances, no matter how terrible his performance has been, and they won't even give a rookie a shot. That's the same shit that Rex kept pulling here even when Sanchez was hopeless beaten down: Throw in the backup for one snap, and then put the struggling starter back in and let him get his ass kicked some more.
Yeah wtf was that shit? Bring in qb 2 to throw one pass with no rpo? That was so asinine. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
To be fair, they roasted him when the won the super bowl. It is philly after all. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
I'm good on Doug Pederson. He looks like a lightning in a bottle guy as a one year wonder coach that'll struggle to find more NFL success. Seems a bit like McCarthy. Doug's playcalling and decision making has been an absolute nightmare this year. Wentz being awful hasn't helped. But last night to not kick the field goal down 20-12 was a fucking disaster considering if they did it they had the opportunity to tie the ball game. He does a lot of bizarre shit like that. He refuses to run the ball to help Wentz. He's playing a career All-Pro left tackle with a very bad toe injury at guard and Peter's just cannot keep up. His offense is stagnant and he keeps bringing Hurts in to throw the rhythm off. It reminds me of everytime Sanchez would make a big play in 2012 we'd trot Tebow out there for a gain of 1 to fuck everything up.
That pisses me off. The Jets could have fucking had Reich, but NOOOO. Bowles going 5-11 was "exceeding expectations" and earned him another year.
