After drafting HOF offensive players at the dominant offensive positions (Elway and Payton) I start building my defense with a dominant pass rusher in Gino Marchetti and a dominant run stuffer in Merlin Olsen.

I am liking the looks of my team, Night Train is a guy that was one of the meanest guys ever to drop into the secondary and Nagurski is also a guy who will drop the boom either by tackling or running the ball, and has 3 proffesional wrestling titles to his credit

I have to admit I do not know much about TEs, I will have to do some research when the time comes, this draft is definately educating me, it is nice to learn about other great players

So far I am liking your draft.

There are three drafts that are sketchy. The other seven look good.

Most of the drafts look great so far... but as Cakes said there have been a few picks leaving me scratching my head. I'm sure a couple of the good drafters right now will make some stupid picks (probably me) and we'll have 2 or 3 clear-cut guys to choose from for the poll.

It's still early in the draft but I thank you for putting this together Murrell... I have already learned a lot about Marchetti and Olsen and I'll learn a lot about other guys. At this time a week ago if you said their names I'd have no clue who you'd be talking about.

I'm not going to be back until about 7 tomorrow night... my pick probably won't come up inbetween then but if it does I apoligize and checking this thread will be the first thing I do when I get home.

Through all the picks so far, in my opinion only one selection has been poor.

That said, there are two other drafters who although they drafted great players, there is a technical scheme element that would be a problem if these teams actually took the field. I'm sort of nitpicking...ahhh, but not really.

I have a feeling one of them would be my selections of Lambert and Taylor?

Before you sign off, I have this suggestion. If your next pick is say 8 picks away, PM Murrell a list of 8 guys. Murrell only opens PM if need be. If not, Murrell deletes PM without viewing its contents. I think that may work on the integrity issue of Murrell seeing people's draft boards.

we should start a depth chart thread that we can update after a few more rounds, just to see how teams are starting to play out

That's fine...just title it something like "Next 8 picks draft board" or something like that so I know not to open it unless I need to.

Exactly, because one played predominantly in a 3-4, the other in a 4-3.

Great selections, players picked at appropriate spots in the draft. Both top flight players, so a good coach would work it out.

But if one wanted to be technical, there is that issue to it. I'm sure Lambert could play in a 3-4 and Taylor in a 4-3.

I'm not trying to rip anybody here, but I would take your early picks down from a 10 to a 9.5 on that issue.

I found a nick on a Rolls Royce, in other words.

I am noting people's picks in a notebook in this manner and if somebody could do that here, it would be good.
