Ganooch's pick was in the correct thread...Jetgreen is up...he'll have tomorrow until to make his pick
It is intersting to see what road the GMs go down to make their ultimate franchise, whether D or O or balanced, and then what positions are coveted

24 rounds was the plan. 11 offensive starters, 11 defensive starters, a placekicker and a punter. Ganooch is all set at running back already. If the 24 rounds go well, I'd be all for extending this thing and drafting a full roster.
I believe it is 10am-10pm. But if someone is next on the clock he could pick at some odd time like 3:15am or something. We could get a lot of picks done if we all agree to be here at the same time one day this week.
more on Jim Brown: He was not a good blocker chiefly because he carried the ball so much he rarely was required to block. Brown was a fullback in the true definition of the term because he often lined up behind the quarterback and was the furthest offensive player from the line of scrimmage. The Cleveland halfback would often line up behind a tackle. They were appropriately called halfbacks because they were usually halfway between the line and the fullback. Brown was 6'2", 232 pounds. Charlie Scales was the starting Cleveland halfback in 1962. He was 5'11, 210. "Touchdown" Tommy Wilson also saw action. Wilson was 6'0", 203. The third string halfback was Ernie Green. He was 6'2", 205. That?s right- the backs blocking for Brown were smaller than him. Green was drafted by the Packers in 1962. He wasn't going to make the loaded-at-RB Green Bay roster, so Vince Lombardi called his friend Paul Brown and traded Green to Cleveland for a 7th round draft choice. 1962 stats- Brown- 230 carries, 996 yards, 4.3 avg, 13 TDs 47 receptions, 517 yards, 11.0 avg, 5 TDs Scales- 56 carries, 239 yards, 4.3 avg, 3 TDs 8 receptions, 67 yards, 8.4 avg, 0 TDs Wilson- 46 carries, 141 yards, 3.1 avg, 1 TD 8 receptions, 110 yards, 13.8 avg, 0 TDs Green- 31 carries, 139 yards, 4.5 avg, 0 TDs 17 receptions, 194 yards, 11.4 avg, 1 TD ______ In 1963, Green took over as the regular halfback as he became a good blocker. He had 87 carries for a 6.0 average. Brown had 291 carries. _____ In 1964, the Browns won the NFL title. Green had 109 carries and Brown had 280. Green led the team in touchdowns with ten. In the title game, Cleveland led Baltimore 3-0 in the third quarter when Jim Brown broke off the big play of the game by running for 46 yards to set up the first touchdown. On that play Green blocked down on the defensive end and tackle Dick Schafrath pulled to kick out the corner. The Browns won the game 27-0. ______ Brown retired before the 1966 season. Green moved to fullback and the 6'0", 200-lb. Leroy Kelly took over as the halfback and featured runner. 1966 stats- Kelly- 209 carries, 1141 yards, 5.5 avg, 15 TDs 32 receptions, 366 yards, 11.4 avg, 1 TD Green- 144 carries, 750 yards, 5.2 avg, 3 TDs 45 receptions, 445 yards, 9.9 avg, 6 TDs They both made the Pro Bowl that season and again the following year. Green had 668 career carries for 3204 yards (4.8 avg) with 15 touchdowns. He caught 195 passes for 2036 yards (10.4 avg) with 20 touchdowns. He also returned 32 kickoffs and 11 punts. He only had 11 career fumbles. He had the talent to be a top notch feature back. _____ The Browns ran from a split-back formation. It was head coach Blanton Collier?s variation of the double wing. The terms halfback and fullback were true and appropriate. Fullback at one time was an appropriate term. Now it is basically a misnomer. Lorenzo Neal shouldn?t be referred to as a fullback. He should be called a blocking back. LaDainian Tomlinson should be referred to as a tailback. Together Neal and Tomlinson should be known as San Diego?s running backs. Halfbacks and fullbacks essentially changed positions in the 1950s with the advent of the I-formation. The fullback lined up directly behind the quarterback. The halfback lined up directly behind the fullback. Therefore, the halfback was furthest from the line of scrimmage and the fullback was only halfway back! It is the most annoying name switch in football history. (West Coast Offense is another annoying name.) In fact, I will try to refrain from labeling running backs as halfbacks or fullbacks. Those terms should be abolished. I am done listening to what The Man tells me to call them.
I have always said RB until about 2 years ago then I got pressured by the man, but i am also guilty of saying FB for my entire football watching career

Agreed. I won't be on most of the day tomorrow though so I'm going to have to give my picks to someone if my pick doesn't come up tonight.
We could skip him and go to the next person if everyone is cool with that. Then J_V would be back on the clock. Let me know if that's okay. I'd like to get J_V's opinion on that too. I should have brought that up instead of having us choose a player for him.
