You got the better guy with Mitchell.

Harris was a HOFer and all, I just find him overrated. He preferred to run out of bounds instead of making contact and trying for a few more yards. He is certainly not one of the toughest RBs in the Hall. But once again, he is a Hall of Famer.

SI had him as the most overrated RB of all time a few years ago. Someone not yet drafted here was voted as most underrated. I'll see if that guy goes.

With us having to draft a QB and then only being able to draft one other offensive player, I would be shocked if anyone took a sixth offensive lineman.

I think everyone will go WR, RB, or TE. And I do feel a couple teams could draft a 2nd TE.

Part of the reason I was targeting Harris was because I did not know about Mitchell, The reason I looked at him int he first place was because of his dviersity, and then I found out he was the real deal

    Bobby Mitchell tidbits-

    1965- 60 catches, 867 yards, 14.5 average, 6 touchdowns
    1967- 60 catches, 866 yards, 14.4 average, 6 touchdowns

had 1,436 receiving yards in 14 games in 1963

He was the first black player to star for the Redskins, who were the last team to integrate when they did so in 1962 (the Redskins owner at the time, George Preston Marshall, was a big racist).
Mitchell was traded to Washington after the 1961 season because Paul Brown wanted to put a bigger back next to Jim Brown. Heisman Trophy winner Ernie Davis was selected in the draft by the Redskins. They traded Davis to the Browns for Mitchell and Leroy Jackson.

was Jim Brown's running mate in the Cleveland backfield from 1958-61

look at these rushing stats for those seasons:
    1958
    Brown- 257 carries, 1527 yards, 5.9 avg, 17 TDs
    Mitchell- 80 carries, 500 yards, 6.3 avg, 1 TD

    1959
    Brown- 290 carries, 1329 yards, 4.6 avg, 14 TDs
    Mitchell- 131 carries, 743 yards, 5.7 avg, 5 TDs

    1960
    Brown- 215 carries, 1257 yards, 5.8 avg, 9 TDs
    Mitchell- 111 carries, 506 yards, 4.6 avg, 5 TDs

    1961
    Brown- 305 carries, 1408 yards, 4.6 avg, 8 TDs
    Mitchell- 101 carries, 548 yards, 5.4 avg, 5 TDs

Mitchell moved to flanker in Washington and never rushed more than 13 times in any season except for 1967 when he ran 61 times.

    returned eight kicks for touchdowns

The television season is over, all I watch now till September will be sports. So I can be here uninterrupted most nights from 9-midnight.
It would be good if we were all here tonight from 8 to whenever and just hammered out the rest of this draft tonight. Or tomorrow. Some of us are starting the MLB all time draft and I'd love to end this one asap.

I know my 4th round pick already (I am pretty sure the guy will be available then), have a certain position picked out for my 2nd rounder (but not a specific player), and have no idea what I'm doing with my 3rd round pick.

JetGreen can pick at 9:34 if ganooch doesn't show up.

It doesn't look like too many of us are here, so I'm signing off for now. Maybe I'll be back around 9:30.

    550, 551- Zzzzzzzzzzz

I'll put this out there again.
Is it possible for the rest of you to all be here at around 9 or 10 pm tomorrow night? If we're all here we could complete this draft in in the span of an hour or two.

I have Kevin's picks and I'll be back in about an hour to make them (pending that Cakes and 1028 go).

    So, who has it?

Right now it appears at least half of us are here. This would be a bummer.

Oh, and I have Murrell's board, so I can make his next pick.
