There's no question in my mind that we have the worst coaching staff. Other teams perhaps have bad coaches in certain spots, we have them everywhere. Our head coach sucks, our offensive coordinator sucks, and on down the line. No preparation, no instruction, no development, just a disaster. Usually I get excited around this time when I know everyone's getting fired, but I have lost all hope that Woody Johnson will ever pick the right guys. I don't have any doubt whatsoever that we will be stuck in this vicious cycle for the foreseeable future.
Hackett is the most predictable Offensive coordinator in the league, if the Defense just plays run, run, pass every drive we may never score.
Even on a Rodgers second touchdown after the flag in the end zone. 1st and goal from 1 yard line..... We lineup in shotgun. Yes it worked but why even mess around. Just run it with Allen and get the TD.
The shittiest part of this is how predictable it was. After last season, anyone with half a brain cell realized Hackett was a massive problem and needed to be replaced. Our leadership is completely incapable of nuance though, and concluded there was no reason to improve at OC since Rodgers would be back this year and solve everything. Nevermind that good QB+good OC is clearly superior to good QB+league-worst OC. Been a fan for a long time and it's getting really frustrating seeing the same mistakes coming from a mile away and having to wait an additional 1-2 years for our leaders to realize it. Even worse, our next rebuild is going to be that much more difficult now. We should've moved on from the entirety of the JD+Saleh+Hackett experiment after last season. Instead, we have to now watch them mortgage our future to try to save their jobs.
