I agree. This would look really good. Kreider-Stepan-Nash Hayes-Brass-Zucc Hagelin-Miller-MSL Glass-Moore-Stempniak
Not often. I'm just pointing out that the Rangers weren't thrashed by a much better team. The Rangers could have been the team lifting the cup with a different bounce here or there.
@MikeMcMahonCHN7m Just asked someone who would know re: reports of former BC F Kevin Hayes signing with Rangers and was told, "it's going to happen."
Rangers Report@rangersreport · 10m Reports starting to surface that Kevin Hayes will sign with Rangers today; former Chicago 2010 first-rounder.
John Buccigross@Buccigross Kevin Hayes signed with Rangers Josh Rimer@JoshRimerHockey6m And Kevin Hayes is a NY Ranger.
Kreider's clone, big fast skilled power forward, 6'4" Chris Dilks is a hockey blogger who knows his stuff. He blogs at SBNation now . He compared Hayes to David Backes. He is 6-4, 216 and played with Chris Kreider at Boston College for two seasons.
The Rangers see Hayes as a centre..... Kevin Weekes @KevinWeekes Just spoke to a member of the @NYRangers Front Office re signing of Hayes : " 6'5 skilled Centre Ice Men are hard to find."Great point.
I'd rather see him at LW for now on a line with Brass and Zucc. The Rangers depth at LW is really bad. At least for now at center the Rangers have Miller and Lombardi.
Sather stole this guy, he's at least 6'4", some sites say 6'5", fast and skilled, we could use the size
The team has done a really good job of signing quality college UFAs to make up for the draft picks they've traded away. I like Hayes and I'm very glad they signed him, but he's certainly not an elite prospect by any stretch. And he doesn't really compare to Kreider since Kreider's game is so focused on skating, which is Hayes's weakness. They probably like him at center because of his size but if he makes the team out of camp I think they'll try him in Pouliot's old spot with Brass and Zucc.
hes gone form 6'3 to 6'4 to 6'5 wtf? He was mostly unimpressive in college except for his last year, which is the right year to be good I suppose. I don think anyone can pencil this guy into the lineup just yet. From what Ive read, the Kreider comparisons make no sense, Not that comparing someone to Kreider is neccesarily good or bad at this point
Watched his youtube's and the talk on HF Boards, skating is not a weakness, also played the point on the PP
We have nothing to lose he costs $900k a year and we got him for nothing, they said 2/3 of the teams in the league had initial interest, imagine him and Kreider on the same line...
Or eliminated in the first, second, or third round with a few bounces here or there or if they had to face opponent's starting goalies instead of washed up back ups or a kid with two games of NHL experience. And I hate to break it to you, but the Kings were the much better team. And the kicker is that the Rangers will likely fight for a playoff spot this season and might not be as good as the Islanders, who greatly improved this offseason while the Rangers lost key players.
Kings definitely a better team, but that doesn't mean the Rangers couldn't have won. Plus we had to beat them and the refs at the same time
