    NYR wasn't willing to pay price established for Nash prior to today + today CBJ asked for more than they were originally after.#tradecentre

    Looks like it'll just be a few depth moves tomorrow.

    It's probably for the best. Although I warmed up to the thought of having him stick with the Rangers when Gab's contract is up/they try trading him in the next year or two, it was a hell of a lot to ship out. Not to mention whoever gets left in the cold due to a stuffed cap

    I hate to be right Tommy, but you could drive a 45' semi thru his 5 hole...Christ! I know Hank can't play every game but he takes us out of the game in the 1st period all the time...

    Fuck Columbus, when the Devils make these kind of trades they trade a draft pick and 2 minor league scrubs, but because it's the Rangers they want a King's ransom...:mad:

    It's because teams remember that the Rangers of old would have signed the check without even batting an eye. New York will never get discounts on anyone because teams generally know that the Rangers will overpay.

    Am I missing something he has 17 points and can't fight?

    Gaustad = Boyle

    Faceoff %. Big Body In Front of Net.

    Something we desperately need.

    Boyle is a 4th liner moonlighting on the 3rd line. Gaustad is a better fit there and plays the type of game Torts preaches.

    Gaustad is one of the most reliable faceoff guys in the league. He's not going to put up eye catching numbers but like F&R said, he's a prototype for his kind of role in Torts' system. As much as I root for Boyle and how much he busts his ass to get his time, he plays way too much for a player of his calibur.

    You guys are off target on Gaustad....Matt is right, we got Boyle...not as good but same shit. Wwe do not need a big slow body, we need a legit goal scorer and preferaably a PP specialist. Gaustad? No need
