Switched over to watch the 2nd period after the Jet win, but I couldn't stay up for the 3rd. For a good 4-5 shifts in that 2nd period, the Rangers were suffocating on their forecheck. Awesome job up front. And from my limited viewing, I noticed them try a home run pass a few times. They're certainly running the run and gun offense I thought AV would try to implement. That of course, leaves them open for a lot of run and gun back the other way as well, but I guess they're banking on Hank and the D to bail them out.

The one thing that I noticed between a few plays last night and watching the entire first game is that the defense, even the top pairings, have been really sloppy in the D zone. Bad coverage, bad giveaways while not clearing the zone. Pretty surprising with that corps but I think that's something that will probably be corrected.

Vigneault was more than impressed with Cally
“It was my first time seeing him, live in a game, being with him as his head coach, and he brings a lot to the table,” Vigneault said. “Poise with the puck, competitive nature when he doesn’t have it, finishes every check. For a player that’s not that big in size, he certainly plays a big game.”

I would imagine that it would be easier to obtain a naked picture of MZD rather than one of him actually scoring a goal.

That's the worst beating i've ever seen the Rangers take. What a shit show, it looked like a pewee team playing a pro team.

I'm glad I went to bed while the Rangers still had some dignity at 2-1. Dear God. I don't care if you're playing open hockey, giving up 9 is an embarrassment. AV is gonna be hearing it after another one like that.
