Christ, Tommy you fell off the face of the earth? How are ya? Alot of positives this year, more depth all around, a boat load of young talented players, waiting in the wings...no more black and blues for Cally and Danny G blocking 10 shots a game...you've been gone so long that richards is a wing now!

I simply fell upon the sand sir, and it's still beautiful here as it is everyday. i must say i'm fired up for hockey, the jets just leave me a little uncaring right now, and the yanks overall played well but got hit too hard with injuries so they always get a pass from me, they've given me a lot in my life.
the god damned rangers best get off to a decent start. 9 in a row on the road, what a headache way to start, but that';s also 9 games not on the road at the end of the season at least.

Tommy's a Jet, Ranger. Yamkee fan as I am, we don't care about the Giants, as I'm sure you don't Gordon...

Kreider is gonna bounce back and forth quite a bit I think. I must say that I'm really disappointed with his play. Real golden opportunity to show the new staff what he can bring and he had a bad preseason. I wasn't particularly surprised that he got left off the team to start. At some point the kid is gonna have to take a stranglehold of his opportunities, unlike he's done so far.

And as far as the overall team goes, I'm not as high on them as I've been going into the past couple seasons. I think they're primed for a very slow start, which is by no means a bold prediction; new coach and system, injury/holdout layover, long road trip to start the season. Hopefully they're able to adjust quickly.

My problem 87 is the lines haven't really even played together in preseason at all, I think he wasted alot of gameplay with guys who weren't going to make it anyway

Kreider has to play the way he did in the Boston series, when he was a human bowling ball, while using his speed to attack

who cares if we arent jelling yet....who cares about a slow start...meaningless. Season is 567 games long.

we are though, still a goal scorer short for sure....Those lines that MR put up before dont exactly have me thinking stanley cup

I don't disagree with you there. I paid more attention to the preseason this year as far as watching the games because of all the changes afoot, so I don't have many other years to go on. But is it common that there isn't a true dress rehearsal game in the preseason or was AV just doing things differently? I understand obviously missing Step, Cally, and Hags, but it seemed like there was half the "A" lineup one day playing with the kids and those on the bubble and then the other half of the "A" lineup doing the same the following game. Never really seemed like they had the full (minus the unhealthy ones) lineup playing together.

I only thing I can think of was he saw enough in practice and what Sather told him so he mostly knew who would stick, should have had some line cohesion though

I would be a lot more concerned about this teams poor pre-season if Callahan is there. This guy is a leader to his team unlike any other in the league.
