    I just HAD to move back to Texas as soon as hockey started. Can't see the Rangers at all here.

    Also, started what I'm calling my hockey beard so I have an excuse for growing a beard.

    If all Derick Brassard needed to fulfill his potential was getting out of Columbus, that completely changes the dynamic of our team now and in the future. I'm very very cautiously optimistic.

    Brassard is a really pleasant surprise. I agree though, tread lightly on his potential. At the very least he's a solid playmaker.

    On the contrary, I think last night showed that McIlrath has a ways to go before breaking into the lineup. And there's nothing at all wrong with that. With his size, he'll come around. Just not yet.
