Lundqvist said that talks between his camp and the Rangers are going in the right direction and that he wouldn’t be opposed to an eight-year contract that would see him finish his career with the Rangers. He said that he loves being a Ranger, is comfortable in New York and it would be hard to see himself playing anywhere else. Lundqvist said that he understands that the deal may not be done before the season and didn’t want to put extra pressure on getting a deal done this summer.
Has there been any official word on Sullivan? Please tell me he will have nothing to do with this team ever again?
Loved that line Joe, great 2nd line, Vickers would later switch to the left of Ratelle and Gilbert, when Hadfield left
Laurie Carr @byndblueshirts 24 Aug Per Sport-Express former #NYR Steve Eminger has reached a preliminary agreement w/Admiral Vladivostok of the #KHL.
Jim Cerny @JimCerny 24m Among #NYR on ice today: Lundqvist, Girardi, Richards, Brassard, Boyle, Dorsett, Kreider, Hagelin, Stralman, Del Zotto, Hrivik, John Moore Jim Cerny @JimCerny 4m He was flying during drills...not allowed to scrimmage though RT @Saucy_C: @JimCerny how does Hags look? Nursing the shoulder at all?
Yep-solid follow up to the G-A-G line. If Fairbairn was carrying the puck into the offensive zone, 99.9 times out of 100 he'd try and 'squeeze' past the defense along the boards. And as for #8, if you laid Steve Vickers' goals end to end, they'd maybe add up to 40 feet tops-lol. The Rangers "garbage goal" man. Pretty good with his dukes as well, i.e. when he wasn't too self-conscious about it least he not be viewed a "player" first and not a goon. I remember he got the better of Kurt Bennett with the Flames, a former Ranger and pretty good fighter himself at one time. Speaking of "#8," I wished that he (or someone/anyone) would've took Schultz to task for his cowardly hair-pulling beatdown of Dale Rolfe in that game 7 playoff down in the Spectrum. Was a shame having to vicariously enjoy "payback" via Clark Gillies punching Schultz out to where Moose Dupont (former NYR property) had to jump in as 3rd man. .....going off on a tangent, sorry back on-topic: #15 ANDERS HEDBERG
Vickers was a feared fighter in his early career, ask Don Marcotte...Emile glued Ron Harris to the bench during Schultz's attack on Rolfe
