The fan base would go wild if he picked Mess, how about Pierre Mcguire, at least it would get him off tv

no thanks on Lindy Ruff. Why is it that everyone is happy to play musical chairs with these sloppy seconds. I don't want somebody else's trash. Forget Ruff or Vingault. Why can't we dig into the NCAA or AHL to find an up and coming coach.

NOOOOOO! And people think the players don't respect Torts? Can you imagine Pierre? Players roll their eyes at him on camera all the time....

I think as JE said we have to look for a younger coach, Lindy is getting old and I don't think his philosophy would fit our roster.

I want the guy from Wisconsin.

Yeah, not sure what Lindy Ruff has done that's so much better than what Torts has accomplished. Not on the Ruff bandwagon at all.

great move...great move. Have to give Sather credit because this goes against the grain of the Garden.

Heres the bottom line. You have MDZ...Girardi...MAC....Staal..and you cant tell me that one of these guys shouldnt be putting up defenseman like points. I believe all of them have the ability to do something in the offensive zone. He has held back the development of the younger players.

The 5 five man collapse in their defensive zone was a disgrace. The clincher I believe was Hanks disgust this year with that.

On one hand you have NHL experts saying what a nice core of defensemen we had and on another hand, no team left their goalie left out to dry the way this team did. So which one is it.

Add to the that the powerplay...and offensive system that system is basically dump and circle behind the net...I mean the list goes on and on.

nah, don't want to tarnish either one of those guys, and i'm sure they're both smart enough to know that coaching sucks....and to my knowledge they have no experience either.

They better make the right choice because while I know i'm in the minority, I think they have a big chance of going backward now.

Like I said the only reason I would think this was a good decision (firing Torts) is if it was affecting Hanks decision to stay or not in a negative way.

You do realize that it's probably somewhere over 70% of any coach in any sport is a "sloppy second" in some form right?

Of course it was a joke. Del Zotto is better than Bobby Orr, nevermind Brian Leetch!

i also gotta say that after listening to some of Sathers conf call, didn't seem to be a very well thought out firing. Maybe torts threw out a "kiss my ass"...and that was that.

I would happily take Graves as an Assistant Coach, though.
