Its too late, I created a thread on HFboards. The damage is done http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24
wow i'm a bit shocked.. will be interesting to see if they can upgrade. sullivan def would not be an upgrade at all..
if they gotta change their style/system, i wouldn't mind seeing the Islander system (with better goaltending and a tad more defensive discipline)
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC 2m Lundqvist comments after season "changed everything," according to a source Lundqvist runs the Rangers guys...He is the most loved player on this team since Mess. Also, this means Richards is gone.
Courtesy of Larry Brooks: The “step back” that Henrik Lundqvist said the Rangers took this season became a step out the door for John Tortorella, who was fired Wenesday as the club’s head coach. The decision, announced Wednesday afternoon by general manager Glen Sather, is believed unrelated to the team’s 2012-13 regular-season record and second-round playoff elimination, but rather to the core belief by management that the club’s players had grown weary of Tortorella’s overbearing personality. It is unknown what role the reluctance to commit long-term to the Rangers expressed by Lundqvist at the club’s breakup day on Monday had in this decision, but nothing said alone by the franchise goaltender could have prompted this move. Tortorella compiled a 171-115-29 record behind the Rangers’ bench after replacing Tom Renney on Feb. 23, 2008. He guided the Blueshirts to the playoffs four times, with the club advancing to the Eastern Conference finals a year ago and to the second round this season. Sather is scheduled to hold a conference call later Wednesday afternoon. My Response:

Not yet, but I am contacting Greyhound buses and printing his ticket to who cares, Canada and sending him a memo to get the fuck out.
“@AGrossRecord: Sather said for Rangers to reach goal of winning Cup, this was decision he felt he had to make.” “@NYRangers: "This is the decision that I made...I think I made the right decision" - Glen Sather #NYR” “@stevezipay: Sather: "Wasn't one thing.."” “@KatieStrangESPN: #NYR Sather: "Every coach has a shelf life"”
