Not to beat a dead (and buried) horse at this point but how can the Rangers even let Richards back in their building after this year? $60M left to pay him and the guy is playing less minutes than an enforcer. I figured they'd give him his last chance to have a full camp, full season before amnestying that contract. I don't have that kind of faith anymore. Get that money off the books ASAP.
If I was him I would be disgusted, don't you get the feeling the league has caught onto this system, they pinch 5 guys, both dmen along the boards, and the Rangers oblige by trying to clear the puck softly along the boards, the middle of the ice is wide open for christ sake
I blame a lot on the system they play. They need to shake things up. They have all the talent in the world, but no structure. The powerplay is the worst thing i have ever seen. Peewee hockey has more structure.
wo woa woa, we have all teh talent in the world? Thats way over board dude. We lack talent up front. We lack an offensive defensmen, we lack a QB for PP-anyone who can play the PP for that matter
Zero forecheck, we couldn 't get out of our zone, couldn't complete a pass, you have to force the play with the forecheck and make the other team go 200ft to score, we never did that, the only time we did that was game 7 vs Caps
I'm still amazed at the people on the radio, here etc still wanting Tort's head on a platter, blaming the system etc. i'm not even sure these same people understand what Tort's system is. (i's not just blocking shots like everyone i hear on FAN says, or a "defense first" system) I got news for ya the Bruins play a similar system........they just have better players right now and more depth, are playing harder, smarter and with more confidence, tip your friggin caps already to a better team.
