The only reason anyone's getting consideration for the Vezina is because Anderson spent half the season injured. He was the best goalie in the league before his injury and he's been the best goalie in the league since his return, and it isn't even close.

The irony of Lundqvist's nomination for Vezina this year is that I thought it was a fairly down year for him. Granted he turned it on as it got later in the season but certainly a far cry from the dominance he showed the year before. Could have been the abbreviated season too. Anderson was the clear front runner before the injury. But it doesn't look like you're gonna mind too much with him falling short of it, JE. I don't think they're thru making noise after this Montreal series.

Just checked out the numbers, and chalk it up to the East Coast bias or not finding it necessary to pay too much attention to a team like Columbus but Bob's numbers were very, very good. He's got the Vezina on lock for sure. Might have even given a full (half) year healthy Anderson a run for his money.

With Andy not under consideration (and I'm not complaining about that by the way, he only played half of an already shortened season) then Bobrovsky would definitely get my vote. Singlehandedly got the Jackets within a point of a playoff spot, and if anyone had predicted that after they lost their best forward in the offseason you'd have thought they were on strong pharmaceuticals.

even though it's the rival islanders, i gotta say i love watching the much hated pens sweating missiles, and fleury looking like he's on angel dust. malkin getting punched in the face was a sight that i will hold on to forever. of course that got broken up by cooke making the fight a 2 on 1.
anyway, some circus coming tonight gentlemen. i'm gonna tank in the office until 12 and then it's out the door for a pregame stroll on the beach for 2 hours or so, look at some fantastic tail, and then twist a fatty and watch the game.
the boys gotta be right tonight. tie this fucker up, no bad starts, score first, and simply pound the living piss out of them in the corners, screen the goalie,. crash the net, get the puck on goal. they will win if they do this.

If Montreal had scored it I'd have been spitting chips, but I can see why they allowed it to stand. I would sympathise with the Montreal fans were it not for the fact that their second best forward last night (after Prust) should have been watching from the press box after his assault on Conacher in game 4.

They blew that game last night because they don't have the strength to play three periods.

I have some info for Rangers fans: Alexander Semin is not on the Capitals anymore. You may have just assumed he has been invisible for the first 3 games as usual, but in reality, he is not on the Caps roster anymore. :)

    WIFE:Rangers are on AGAIN?

Wife: put that shit off and put on something we can both watch or you wont be happy( that implies no vag vag for me)

By the way, win or lose, please no Caps in the playoffs next year for us. Im sooooooooooooo over this matchup. Its actually making me enjoy the series less.

I said this once the matchup was determined too. There's something that's just pesky about the Caps. It's not an enjoyable series like the Devils, Flyers, Isles would be no matter how many times they played.

yeah i wanted no part of the Caps because they were hot.....but also because the matchup bores me a little......The Pens/Isles, Sens/Habs series certainly have more juice. haven't seen much of Leafs/Bruins for some reason

The above is not to say i didn't come close to cardiac arrest the other night though.....friggin Richards

Semin sure as hell isn't invisible against the Rangers. He has always been a Rangers killer.

If I happen to have an extra ticket for tonight's game, would someone be interested in meeting me at the Garden tonight and buying it for Face value? ($90)
