This series has had the toughest losses for the Caps in the playoffs in a long time. 3OT loss and lose lead with 7 seconds left then start OT on PK and lose. Brutal.

By the way, people keep blaming Joel Ward for the loss. I don't at all. It was a high stick, thats life. No one does it on purpose.

They had what? 25 seconds to kill off a 6 on 4? Thats on the Caps' D and Holtby more than Ward. Just my opinion.

Any real hockey fan knows you can't blame Ward it happens, it was unintentional

 

I can't believe Fatcessa clapped, probably because he could go home and ring the dinner bell

 

Really unfair to blame Ward too much. And talk about what have you done for me lately. Guy pushed the Caps into this round with his OT winner in Boston. Obviously he screwed up but it wasn't like a mind-lapse of a penalty. Kind of just a bad luck play.

 

I wouldnt blame Ward...how many times has he saved the Caps? Especially bringing them to second round

 

If he played for Boston you just know he would have gone overnight from hero to "that black guy who lost us the game" for their fans

Yeah that's right Boston, giving Philly fans a run for their money in how little class you can have

 

Seriously. My point is any penalty taken with 25 seconds left sucks, but should be killed off. Especially how their PK was playing. Credit Richards for the goal too of course.

he's already proven. what a much different morning than it looked like it was going to be with a minute left last night.
