Quick math 5G / 8 = .625 gpg (.75ppg) (82 - 8 - 8) = 66 g x 0.625 = 41.25 + 6 = 47.25 goals this year / 58 points. I guess that's ok
This, to me, shows that he is starting to adapt to the new surroundings. He's a young kid who's moved to new country with different culture in huge city, there's been a lot of change in his life in a short period of time. And then earlier in the season he didn't get that much responsibility in the top-six forward lines where he needs to play to be effective, his talents get wasted in the lower lines with less talented line mates. Hopefully now when he's got goals and points his confidence grows as the season plays on.
Wednesday Night Hockey tonight! The Rangers have a good chance too as the Caps will be shorthanded without Backstrom, Hagelin, Dowd, and I assume Hathaway will be suspended for spitting on a Duck player Monday. Always fun to play at MSG. Good luck!
Good game, fellas. Congrats to Lundqvist on win 454. Panarin has been a great addition too. He looked good. After 2 it was pretty even with a 1-0 Rangers lead, but the 3rd the Caps completely laid an egg. Not sure what they were doing. They seemed more concerned on making hits than scoring goals. Big win for the Rangers.
Rangers inconsistent, but have shown they can bring it against top teams. Stay the course, probably best to keep improving but miss the playoffs for a ping pong ball
Broadway Brendan Lemieux leads the comeback, Gorgie 5 terrible goals allowed, time for Shesty to get his shot. Trouba with the gamer, Fox/Lindgren pair are our best dman pair....Funny watching Claude Lemieux rooting for the Rangers all night!
I love stats. Shesty is projected to go 40-0 this season by ESPN based on his first 2 starts. That would put the Rangers comfortably back in the playoff picture again!
So, who do the rangers trade to further seed the rebuild? Kreider seems likely. Maybe Fast? Hate to lose guys like that to be honest. maybe Georgiev and roll with Shesty?
