I did not include trades in the category. Curtis Martin signed a free agent contract with the Jets, who were then forced to give up additional assets as part of a disagreement over the terms of the FA deal.

I'll admit, I don't know how Buffalo's OL signings performed. But, they've also drafted Ford and Dawkins in recent years in round 2. That's where the difference lies between us and them. It took us until 2020 to use a pick above round 3 on the OL.

  3. It’s very simple.

Acquire as much premium draft capitol as possible on a yearly basis, draft quality players that fit a prototype & put optimized player development parameters in place which creates a long term pipeline.

If the above is properly executed you dont need to swing & miss on chumps like Trumaine Johnson. And those rare times where perhaps a certain talent is an exception to the rule & you do overspend, you have the depth & infrastructure in place for them to succeed; If they fail, you have possible contingencies from within

mosley got hurt it happens. nothing to do with this season or his contract.
Bell played great behind an awful o-line

this year assuming both stay healthy they will likely be pro bowlers

the rest of your comments are just random nonsense. not sure what you want me to say

Agreed. It’s not the way to build a team. You make those big splashes when you are one or two pieces away from being a contender. With that said, it’s a sunk cost at this point and I am hoping Mosley tears it up this year.

The Jets aren't done with the OL yet. For now it's already improved but the Van Roten and Fant signings may turn out to be just stop gaps for 2020 they both have 3 year deals but have outs after 1 - Expect another OL to be taken high in 2021....maybe not first round but I see them adding another big body for the right side.

That's how you build a solid nucleus - multiple high picks on the OL.

When we paid Revis that $1M/game to come back I remember trying to add up how many seats (tickets) were going to pay just Revis...times two to pay for he away games too. It seemed like 1/4 of the stadium was just paying for one player.

  8. Think prioritizing having bookend tackles is a great idea, however not sure taking another in RD 1 in back to back yrs is ideal as it will be difficult to keep both down the line.

If he doesnt go RD 1 i love Jake Curhan out of Cal as a RT or worse case kicking inside.Very quick out of the blocks w a nice surge, good balance, natural leverage..hes alittle stiff on re directs but has ability to get better.reminds me of Jon Runyan. Im guessing he’ll go somewhere between RDs 2-5 w a whole season to go.
