Getting Brandon Sherff in FA from the Skins would be a coup - then go draft a LT and a C. Maybe another guard later on.....the OL would be fixed.

They also mentioned Shaqill Barrett from TB as being a target for EDGE. I'd be surprised if he's available though....

So there was no point in drafting Sam in 2018 because our offensive line was so bad? You take the BPA at a position of need, and WR is one of the biggest needs we've got.

Half the reason our offensive line is as bad as it is this year is the blocking schemes are abysmal, but we won't be in a position to take Jeudy anyways.

A lot of people refuse to believe the Jets are going to win more games than they lose in the second half. If they finish say 6-10 or 7-9 they’ll be drafting between 10-14. Jeudy would be way out of reach. I’d have to guess JD is going to build the trenches first.

I’d look for a quality owner with the 1st pick then focus on finding a quality GM & HC with the next couple picks.

I know we have needs but that OLB Chase Young would be a stud in our system.

Basically the only way I would draft Young is by trading away Jamal and not comfortable doing that. But he would thrive on the edge. Maybe we can get OL in rounds 2-3 and with FA?

I'd rather address OL ASAP as it's been neglected for too long. Our OL has maybe 2 players worth bringing back. I am open to taking Jeudy if he's available when we pick and then going OL with our next pick or two. We have too many holes to address in one offseason. The most important, IMO, are giving Sam better protection and more weapons to throw to.

So true but man. Chase young is a monster edge rusher.

It would be a tough decision for sure. Young looks like he'll make an impact immediately in the NFL. But, upgrading the OL and skill players is a higher priority IMO. Otherwise, our offense will continue to be below average to awful. I really wish Allen was our 1st round pick this year. But, I guess he wasn't the BPA.......

  11. Offense absolutely has to be the priority both in FA & the draft. That said.... 1 of 2 of the glaring defensive needs..Either Edge or starting level Corner must be in the mix as well.

I hate the idea of not going offense with the 1st pick...and all else fails I prefer to trade down...that said if Jeudy/Elite OLs worth taking aren't available at the Jets pick & a legit edge is? I take the edge. It fits in to Douglas' plan of working up the trenches, fills a massive long time need at an impact position & actually gives our defense a chance to get off the field in obvious passing situations.

My preference is OL or WR in round 1. Should be good prospects available at either position where we're likely gonna pick. I agree that CB and Edge need to be addressed too. Just not sure who will be available in FA as top players are usually extended or franchised.

I'm sorry, but drafting a WR early will make about as much difference for this offense as Le'Veon Bell has made. And from years and years of horrible drafting, - we don't have the luxury of staying pat w/an early draft pick - which looks like we are headed for in 2020. Not that we had the luxury in 2019 either. We need MANY draft picks. 1 early draft pick is not going to change anything for us. We need to trade down. We needed to do it last year but we didnt. Has to be OLine in 1st & 2nd round. Period.

Barring any trades that add picks to the fold:
    1- OL
    2- WR
    3- OL

That's how I'd do it. I'd be OK with OL, OL, OL as well.

If there's a STUD for the OLine in the top 5 you take him. Otherwise, yes, trade down.

Also need to factor in some decent free agency action - look at the 49ers - they drafted Bosa (I wish he had been therefor us) but also signed Kwon Alexander and Dee Ford and their D is tearing things up - 7 or 8 sacks today against the Panthers and its been like that all season

Upgrading the the OL and WR's don't have to be mutually exclusive. If we land Jeudy in round 1, rounds 2 and 3 can be used to address the OL.

    I would go

    Chase Young
    OL
    OL
    WR

in rounds 2-4 Honestly, could even trade a 2021 pick too. We need edge help so bad too

. .Is Chace Young looking scarier by the week or what? . Guy terrorized the Badgers OL yesterday.

There's Heisman talks about him. I don't think I've ever seen a defensive player take over games like he did vs. Wisconsin. He reminds me a lot of prime Von Miller.

We'd probably play him at 3-4 end to eat up blocks though.

People are saying Young is better than Bosa, Bosa just May be the best defensive player in the league right now. If he is that good he just May have to be the 1st pick in draft.
