Calling the QB draw when you have Ivory back there is mind numbing. MM has left a lot to be desired but he's working with a douchebag for a QB.

Stop blaming Marty for everything. Redzone inefficiency is the classic tell tale sign of a bad QB.

MM can't make good decisions for Geno.

    You forgot some important stats.

    - Ranked 1st in important blown referee calls.
    - Ranked last in red zone efficiency (guessing on this one, but it almost has to be true based on the amount of points that have been left on the board).
    - Ranked 29th in TO differential.

We should be 3-0. You have to think these things will not factor into every game, but who knows. It's a lot to over come. Seriously, how many dropped interceptions in the past 3 games? The Jets have had TONS of opportunities but blew almost every single one of them. Geno needs to stop making huge mistakes.

One of the biggest criticisms of Sanchez was his inability to throw the ball away instead of forcing a bad pass. How many times is he going to get sacked out of FG range or throw a red zone pick before he learns? How many times is he going to throw a pick 6 on the opening drive? I'm not seeing any improvement whatsoever on this aspect of his game. Turnovers have plagued this team 4 out of the last 5 years. Geno takes way too many risks.

When your QB and your secondary make devastating, momentum killing mistakes routinely its a pretty big equalizer no matter what your other stats are

    Yup.

Marty may have some iffy calls, but it's not his fault Geno is throwing into triple coverage, it's not his fault Geno threw a pick six on a screen, it's not his fault Geno takes a 15 yard sack and puts us out of field goal range.

I'm tired of defending this bafoon. I was all for Geno, but this is getting ridiculous. This is year two and he's still making dumbass decisions

I agree, but please someone explain to me why MM is trying to run it into the end zone from the 2 or 3 yard line with Geno instead of Ivory? Ivory was running through people at that point too.

Is it me or do you notice that our passing TD's have come from quite a bit out? From the 20 and in the passing windows get smaller and as a result we've had extreme difficulty punching it in. Marty gave Geno the rock last night with the game on the line and Geno threw a fade out of bounds on the last play of the game... That's almost as bad as Carlos Beltran striking out looking to end the series. And people wanna holler about Marty trying to dial up some redzone trickery? If Geno could hit the quick goaline slants, thread some lasers into the back end, or hit the fade then I think we'd be seeing a lot more of that and a lot less of these other play calls. Marty's working with a QB who has shaky accuracy and limited repertoire, he's trying to make some shit happen.

That play is actually effective there but the bears made the right call and threw a blitz at us which stuffed it

Yeah thats the biggest problem for me right now. Have to convert those opportunities into TD's more often then not.

  12. It boggles my mind the expectations everyone has for a 2nd year QB . What about the notion "Young Qb's make mistakes" do people not understand?

And for the record he HAS learned from many of his mistakes. His pocket presence has come a long,LONG way, he has much better command of alignment pre snap, his accuracy has improved,he has learned to extend plays & he HAS thrown a few balls away when nothing is open.

He still needs work on his decision making..that much is clear. The redzone offense is a major issue..he's apart of that.

But you wanna call this guy a buffoon & write him off b/c he isn't a finished product 3 games into his sophomore year??? Get a F'n clue.Seriously....all of you.

It tells me that OCs can get you yards but talent gets you points.

So I'm guessing the Eagles with MM as OC, Vick (in the best year of his career), McCoy, DeSean, Maclin, Celek, and Cooper with one of the worst RZ offenses in the league fell on a lack of talent?

Made this exact comment in the game thread. A savvy veteran QB gets you out of that play based on the Bears pre-snap look. Not sure how much freedom Geno has with audibles and/or if he even recognized that the play call was doomed since the Bears were showing blitz.

LOL…Feeling good about yourself? Who said anything about RZ efficiency? I said "OCs can get you yards but talent gets you points". The Eagles were 3rd in the NFL in points per game that year with 27.4. #RIF

Did you expect anything differently on this board?

Who would have thought the freaking Bills would be the one without the QB controversy?

    That's pretty funny...but in a soul-crushingly depressing way.
