Henne is clearly better than Sanchez. The Dolphins should keep him starting forever. He is the epitome of awesome. I will continue to tell this to every Phag fan I know.
i'm not a big cowherd fan. it seems like he spends most of his time making random analogies between sports and business, ex gfs, actors, etc without ever analyzing anything. today, i didn't hear him make any valid points about why sanchez and henne were equal. he just kept saying sanchez is a good looking henne. wtf? even when clayton was asked the question, he didn't reply with any analysis. he just said the jets have more faith in sanchez than the dolphins do in henne. seriously? that's an expert opinion? come on. but i was surprised to hear him talk about sanchez like this since last season, he was praising sanchez for having the it factor. i remember him saying sanchez was going to be an elite qb because he knew how to win. then again, right afterwards, he bashed aaron rodgers because he hadn't ever won a big game. he called aaron rodgers a fantasy football qb and blamed fantasy football for ruining people's ability to judge correctly. we all know how that turned out.. and i was glad to hear rodgers make a few snide remarks at colin during an interview after he won the super bowl.
they must mean from a physical only standpoint. i think alot of jets fans are sensitive pussy's about sanchez to be honest. people critique him and everyone goes up in arms. Sanchez is a highly inconsistent young qb, whos shown he has a penchant for elevating his game when it matters most. nothing more nothing less 2 years ago Henne looked like the real deal to me from a "making all the nfl throws" standpoint. fast forward and Henne is somehow a more inconsistent Sanchez without mobility and a stronger arm. this could be more of a statement of Rex VS Sparano also, or just an indictment on Henne's mental make up either way if you wouldve asked me two years ago my answer would loudly be Sanchez> Henne haha Henne cockteased MIA fans and hes still there. I believe its a mix of both either way nobody should be worried about what Crowder or Clayton has to say. did he really say a "better looking Henne" what a stick to be collected in a pile of his counterparts to be highly oxidized translastion: hes a faggot who will probably die in a fire
The only thing Henne has on Sanchez is a stronger arm....but Sanchez is definitely more talented. I'm not saying this to you in particular, but there are more attributes to a QB that is considered "talent" besides arm strength and mobility.
o be fair Mark didnt carry the team to those games in fact the defense has done most of the heavy lifting the last 2 years what makes sanchez better imo is his performances in the playoffs I like Colin and Clayton both are very good at their jobs and colin is entertaining on TV and the radio
ESPN is reaching because today just so happens to be the JETS first P.S game. This is their pre-game drama for today.
That's how I read it. Arm strength, mechanics, accuracy, footwork, scrambling/speed, that sort of stuff. Talent never won a thing by itself. And the margin of difference in physical talent between some guys and other guys is so slim. Jay Cutler's got a better arm than Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, but would you choose him if you could pick from the three? Yet it would be reasonable to argue that from a pure talent standpoint, Cutler tops the other two. Sanchez is clearly the better performer than Henne, especially in big games, appears to be more intelligent, and has simply had a better NFL career so far. No question.
lol i know your not cause i specified they only meant physical attributed as the preface to everything i said. the exact reason Sanchez is better than Henne is his mental make up which I also said. im not trying to Junc you what you said is true, but youll eventually get tired of throwing out basic concepts of football logic to save the large amount of retards around here.
at one point, cowherd's argument was that sanchez has played medicore in the regular season and well in the playoffs but that doesn't count because henne hasn't had the opportunity to succeed in the playoffs. then a little bit later, he said sanchez doesn't play better in the playoffs and his numbers reflect that. come on..
I have said it since Henne was a Wolverine in college.... On paper, he should be a solid QB who has a very good arm, is tall and had good pocket presence where he wasn't afraid to take a licking. However, he lacked the leadership to help rally his team to big wins, would make silly overthrows, lacked mobility to give his WR more time to get separation and he is the type of QB that once things go bad, they get ugly....case in point, his inability to help lead his Wolverines over a win vs App St during his senior season. None of this in Miami surprises me at all. What does bother me is how he suddenly turns into Johnny Unitas out there vs the Jets every year. No idea how he is putting up over 300 yards vs the Jets but not vs anyone else. I don't think there is a single soul out there that can explain it.
Sanchez over Henne any day. The only knock on Mark nowadays is his inconsistentcy. It's the DISPARITY of the inconsistency whether its game-to-game or the same game that gets me. How do look so bad against Baltimore (60 net yards LOL) then look like Montana in week 2? Remember how bad he looked against Detroit for the first 55 minutes? then he turned it on like "where'd this come from"? There was a span over 4 games last season where Mark had more yards than any other QB in football. Then he played (if thats what you want to call it) TERRIBLY the next 3 weeks against Cin, NE and Mia. This is his third year so all the "rookie" excuses are gone, I'm not worried about him at all, I can't see with all the work he's put in, named the Captain, and with his work ethic being so good him being a problem. Chad Henne's a clown even Calvin Pace said it.
Henne isn't as terrible as people make him out to be, even though he has a vagina for a forehead. I'd certainly take Sanchez over him, but a lot of it has to do with the situation Sanchez was placed in vs. Henne. Nacho is on the perfect team for a young, talented QB. Sanchez could have ended up on some other shitty organization and he may have fallen apart (i.e. Raiders). Bottom line, I'd take Sanchez, but Henne still has the potential to be a decent starter or above average backup in the NFL. Unfortunately for him, he's not likely to get another chance at being a starter after this year unless the Phags make the playoffs, which isn't happening. They will clean house next year, including Henne.
Seemed at times Sanchez and Greene were doing everything they could to keep us out of the playoffs but once we got in they lit the place on fucking fire. Go figure.
This thread is crazy. Sanchez is an NFL starter. Maybe not in the top 10, but he is a starter in this league. Henne is a Back-up who got a starter job. Sanchez isnt AMAZING, but he is sure a hell of a lot better than Henne.
Who exactly do you people listen to that are better than Colin Cowherd? These people on the radio talk for hours and hours a day, and obviously they are not perfect and are going to say things that are off. They get paid to give their opinions, and talk nonstop. And that is going to lead to mistakes. And they are not experts as I read above, if they were they would be in coaching, team management, scouting, and quite frankly those guys screw up too. Again, I'm curious, who should I listen to on Sports Radio that is better?
