    He's referencing the Yankees, but only really because the Yankees have won a lot and the Yanks are local, and Mets fans have seen them play a lot.

    This ump has been ridiculous..... he blows a 3rd strike n Pujols who then procedes t put one over the wall. He has made numerous bad calls against the Mets. If your gonna be bad and call pitches out of the strike zone strikes than be bad for both teams. I haven't seen enough bad pitches called strikes for our pitching. This guy sucks......

    You do know if you lose this game, it's a best of 3 with 2 games at Shea. Yeah, they have the pitching edge, but in no way is it over.

    valentin already had a big hit in this game. useless green is the main culprit who failed to even get 1 run so a swing of the bat in the 9th could tie it up.

    Well, no, it's not a best of 3 with 2 games at Shea, it's 2 do-or-die games at Shea with John Maine and Darren Oliver starting the games for the Mets.
