I'm still fuming over this Mota thing, Willie is close to costing us homefield in this series.

poor defense has cost the mets at least 3 and probably 4 runs already tonight.

I guess I wasn't clear - I had plans tonight, but not at the game. I caught the awful 7th inning on TV, unfortunately - why was Mota (still) in there? Why can't Green catch the damn ball?

Obviously happy with the way the Mets handled Carpenter, but it would be pretty disheartening for the Mets to blow a 2 run lead in the 7th at Shea. The Mets need this game.

    Nice K for Heilman.

Valentin almost falls down on the throw (?), but Heilman gets through it. Mets need to score right now.

If we lose this game I have a bad feeling for the rest of the series, honestly even with a win thanks to Mota the Mets are far from wrapping this up. If Mota doesn't meltdown and the Mets go on to win this series is over. These next 2 innings are now must innnings for the Mets. The series might be won and lost in these next 6 batters. And of course we'll start out with an out too

the way i see it, the mets have 6 outs and then it starts to get very very very dicey.

I know that he signed a two year contract, but can we please hope that we're seeing the last of Julio Franco now?
