Last night's performance was a typical Glavine game. If you're expecting him to strike guys out like Pedro did in his prime, then you haven't watched Tom much over the years.

Funny how Poohole neglected to mention that he whiffed on a curveball that he looked stupid chasing. Fastball-changeup my ass. He needs to be served a big cup of STFU.

lol, no one expects Glavine to strike guys out with that fastball. The point is, he had trouble locating his pitches at times and did have some hard hits off him. The defense saved his bacon a few times, and aside from that, the Cards just missed absolutely killing a few of the pitches that he flat-out left over the plate.

Didn't you see that he couldn't locate his fastball inside correctly?

That was not one of his best nights, but as I said, you can't argue with the results.

Pujols was basically right. You guys just can't handle an opposing player criticizing a Met. Should Pujols have spoken up like that? Probably not. Just provides fodder for the opposition.

Whether he was right or not(I don't think he was) it's an assinine thing to say. How often do you hear players come out and directly take a shot at an opposing player, especially after they lost? He could've given the standard "we didn't make the most of our opportunities" etc but he chose to attack the guy that just pitched 7 shutout innings against them. Absolutely idiotic.

Yes, Glavine did have some trouble locating his fastball, but the bottom line is that Glavine threw a shutout and the defense stepped up for him. Poohole has no right to speak when he struck out silly, exercised poor judgment in baserunning, and had an all-around ineffective performance. He seemed bitter and confrontational throughout all of the questioning and he proved that he's a tool.

You still give credit where credit is due. Even if you don't want to, then don't be an ass either. Glavine still pitched well enough to win and you didn't get a hit off him, so apparently, Tom still did something right. "He wasn't good at all"? He was still better than you last night. Poohole's comments are an insult to the opposition and his whining and excuse making demonstrates a general lack of class and humility. Make all the excuses you want, Poohole. The bottom line is that you're 0-10 in your last three games and the Mets are leading the series. And for the record, no, Poohole wasn't right in what he said. There's a big difference between Glavine "wasn't good at all" and "wasn't at the absolute top of his game."

Even A-Rod came across as having more class in that SI article than Poohole did speaking to the reporters last night. A-Rod is extremely vain and naïve. Poohole is just an arrogant prick.

Maine with the horrible first inning... at least, in the eyes of Pujols.

Remember that time when he did steroids and he got caught and MLB told him to fake a ridiculous injury? What an ass.
