How about when they said Molina's best stance is squating, thats the stance where he really helps the Cards.

    Great line.

    7 shutout from Glavine

Think that's all you can ask from him.

Time for the O to give the pen some insurance..... and I just don't trust Mota. Can we go to Feliciano for the 8th? Please?

Two impressive postseason starts from Glavine.

I see that the Fox stat boys are desperate to say something. Yes, Glavine has clearly led the rotation, but their graphic seems to imply that the rest of the starters (all two of them) have been awful, when their ERA is actually 3.52. What we know (we who pay attention, that is) is that the only poor start has been Trachsel's, so their graphic was pointless.

8th inning is Heilman's. Mota was just up in case Glavine ran into trouble in the 7th.

We would always want more runs, of course, but it would be especially nice to do that so that there's no temptation to keep Glavine in (since he's probably going to have to go on three days rest next start).

I disagree. I think Mota could be coming in for the top of the next inning.

It usually belongs to Heilman, but tonight could be different.

Absolutely - got to be Heilman / Wagner now.

Far be it for me to claim to be able to predict Willie, but what possible reason would there be to not bring in Heilman?

I guess he's thinking he's going to have to use him alot over the next 4 days? Bringing in Mota flies in the face of his "Let's win tonight" philosophy though.

Sorry, Joe, Glavine was very good in the second half of 2005 as well (9-6 with an ERA below 3).

Valentin messes up the bunt attempts, so he'd better do something productive now with two strikes.
