This is exciting. I believe in Foles. If we got him that would be big time redemption for this crapshoot of a draft.
I'm betting something is going on here. The Jets clearly are not meeting Fitz's demands and probably feel he needs them more then they need him. Trying to get him to blink. Who knows, they may feel that Foles can play similarly to Fitz in their system. I'd rather have Fitz though, just to mentor Hackenberg.
I'm getting the feeling that they're waiting until training camp before they move on from Fitzpatrick. Bowles inadvertently said it today.
Foles is a good QB when a good offense is around him. If we made the trade and it only cost us a 6th or 7th then it's a good deal. Trade for Foles , sign Fitz , cut Geno , trade Petty
I'm burned out on Fitz. He was massively lucky to the extent that probably he avoided about 10 almost give me interceptions by the sheer luck of the draw.
He also said 30 minutes before trading into the 5th for an Olinemen that he was satifisifed with our Lines depth. Words dont mean shit.
Man if you woulda told me a few years ago that Ryan Fitzpatrick would be engaged in a stand off with a team over wanting $10m+ annually I would've laughed my ass off. If you told me it would be with the Jets I would've choked
According to some on this board , a lot. But if the regime is down on him , already , it makes more sense to trade him than to release him.
I don't buy the Foles rumor because I think Mac would have used far more neutral language if he was actually in any serious discussions about Foles. His denial seems unnecessarily unequivocal to me, otherwise. (Just my best guess based on how he usually answers questions)
Why does everyone assume Fitz is smart enough to mentor or teach anyone? Hes not smart enough not to throw into double coverage when hes got a go streaking across field open. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Fitz has a very high IQ but he's bad at processing information quickly when under physical stress. That's why he's great at reading defenses pre snap, but the longer the play goes after the snap the more likely he'll do something dumb. The McKelvin pick was a great example. He was right throwing to Decker because he correctly identified a favorable one on one matchup. But Decker somehow got beaten, and rather than throw it away Fitz froze and threw it right to McKelvin. The point is Fitz can teach how to play the position because he knows more than almost any QB out there. He just can't do it sometimes.
Watch most his plays. He doesn't make the right reads most the time. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-o...-fitzpatrick-is-not-the-jets-quarterback-cure Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
