Seems like GMs and coaches around the league tend to side with our view on Fitz....If he was even an average starting QB he would have been scooped up by someone out there I actually think he played OK overall last season all things considered but it's not close to good enough and he's not getting any better against a real schedule next year....I think our whole team was awesome and he definitely held us back against some of the better teams His whole career tells the story...he makes unnecessary risks both throwing and running and has probably the worst arm in the league, or close to it Time to move on
Yeah, I'm done with posters who claim to be "students of the game" yet throw out an arbitrary number and say it was how many passes should have been intercepted. Especially when they claim they came up with the number by watching the games, not from the random website which has no credibility. I didn't realize Jaws threw out that number also. When I first saw that number thrown around I decided to check out the site that was throwing around that stat and some of the passes they called "interceptable" the defensive player would have had to go through the receiver to get to it, another one the defensive player with one arm completely outstretched barely got his fingertips on it. The site claimed if he had gotten both hands on it he would have intercepted it, not realizing the only way to get his body around to try and get both hands on it would have caused him to slow down and he wouldn't have even gotten one hand on it. I see the site was just posted, check out the second one. Off the defensive players fingertips, must be "interceptable". Here's another, does going through the receiver make it "interceptable"?
Actually I think there were 30 pick sixable passes. I'm telling you we could have lost 25 games last year. I saw it with my own eyes. All due to Fitz. _
Fitz value is that he inspires the guys around him to play better than they are, and that he has the minimum tools necessary to survive as a starting QB in the NFL. He's an acceptable bridge, and potentially a plus for the young guys, nothing more. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Add in that he works better with Gailey than any other OC. The two are made for each other. Some fans will never understand that cause in their minds if one QB works well in a system every QB will. Doesn't work that way. If anyone deserves the label of "system QB" it's Fitz. And that's fine with me
I don't know what worse in this discussion? The made up 30 interceptable balls stats by Fitz or the dumbass Genobot name?
