when your good enough to make millions and play the sport at a professional level then you can tell the players what to do. oh wait even then you wouldnt have any leg to stand on in an argument. too much hip hop culture? how whitebread are you. seriously. hmm these young black players with their enthusiasm and competitiveness. how dare they have fun playing a sport. gimme a break, go watch the lawrence welk show or something.
Bingo Agree 100% If the NFL thinks it could put $1 more in their pockets by requiring all players to shave their heads, they have the right to do it. If not, I'm good with that to.
Cut your hair, FREAK! The flowing dreadlocks of some NFL players may be chopped off by league if some people have their way. The NFL's competition committee is considering banning players from wearing having hairstyles that cover up their last name on their jerseys. The league's 32 owners will have to vote on the rule later this offseason. The Kansas City Chiefs were the team that brought the issue to the table. If the rule passes, players such as the Packers Al Harris and Atarit Bigby would have to either cut their hair or find some way to tuck it into their helmet.
What about guys that grow their hair for religious reason...(i.e. Rasta's), which I think Al Harris is, also alot of guys don't wanna cut their hair because, barbers don't use the cleanest shavers n such....Iverson talked about this when the NBA was mad about cornrows and afro's....I hope this doesn't pass.
Not everyone makes millions on the team, to hire their own barber to fly with them, also they are in different cities all the time. It also brings some individualism to the sport. Stupid rule IMO.
no but they make hundreds of thousands. The thing its not an individual sport its a team sport and the team image is what the owners want to protect.
How fast do you think their hair grows??? They can easily get it cut once of twice during the season and be fine. They're also in different cities about two days a week when they have an away game.
Then individual owners should make the decision ala the yankees.. If you had to choose between Polamalu or jon McGraw, who would you take?
