Baloney...all those sharp lawyers and CPAs and the NFLPA couldn't digest the gist of it in a few hours ?

Funny....Peter King, Mike Florio, and a bunch of columnists did. Maybe the NFLPA should hire them for the CBA negotiations !!??

I think the owners want givebacks, but they've been willing to compromise. John Mara said months ago he and others weren't sure of the 18-game schedule. But they were sure that a rookie salary cap and other changes needed to be implemented.

When DeMaurice Smith realizes he has to negotiate instead of decertifiying, running to pro-union federal judges, or kissing Eric Holder and Barack Obama's behinds, then we'll get a deal.

So far, he's a black Ed Garvey.

It's the CBA, not a movie pitch. There's a reason this shit is pages upon pages. If all they did was "digest the gist of it" they'd be asking to be screwed.

Whether or not they should have agreed to another extension is a separate issue.

this is exactly how you tell them you have had enough. the only problem is they dont care if you and i do it, there needs to be a concerted effort from a large portion of fans and they need to make waves and make it obvious. shit you could probably get 20 friends together and start a facebook page and send it out to everyone you know and have a large following in a matter of days.

And most of us will just continue to watch. I don't get my feelings hurt over labor disputes. It sucks, but I'm not going to let it impair my enjoyment.

Circle June 3 on your calendear. 8th circuit has granted owners' request for expedited appeal, and it will be heard that day in St. Louis."

    Mother F'r!!

This shit blows, we're never going to know who the hell is on our team this year. I hope these bastards start talking over this next month long wait.

Folks ... This setting of dates does NOT mean the stay-on-appeal is going one way or another. We're still waiting on that one."

    Well that is good news..

Only if the temporary stay isn't extended. I'd say the news today isn't great if you're hoping for that extension to be denied. Of course, both sides could agree to return to the table, as unlikely as that may be.

Chances are at least one fan on this site would consider that a win though.
