Well, we still have about 7 weeks to spin this.

I wouldn't cry at all if the above happened. I could live with it. The only way there would be some mal-content is if Vernon Golston was available at the same time as MacFadden.

That would essentially be ideal from my POV, probably second only to Chris Long falling to us and being the #6 pick. If Hardy's there in the second, I think we have to take him. He's exactly the sort of reciever we need to compliment Coles and Cotch.

McFadden probably goes to Oakland now. Davis appeared to want to save money until he started with this Hall thing. Now he seems to want to spend more instead.

How did davis appear to want to save money? He handed out the largest contract to a DT ever to Tommy Kelly. He gave Javon Walker and his bum knee over $55 mil. with $16 guaranteed. He gave Gibril Wilson like $39 mil like he's a top 5 Safety. That looks like spending all along to me.

The Jets picking McFadden would be awesome. I just can't see the Raiders, or the Falcons, passing up on him. Out of curiosity, what was Blair Thomas' stature in comparison to McFadden coming out? Was he considered to be great coming out of college, or was he just part of a weak draft class that year and he just happened to be one of the safest picks? For some reason I can't remember what they thought of him.

Click on the round 2 link and view that, then hit round 1 link and it should give you 1-32 on one page.

Hardy at 6-6 is a monster. He isn't just a guy with size and a good 40 time. He put up big numbers at Indiana. I watched the game verse Penn State's Justin King. He embarrassed him

    "Doucet it and forget it..."

No doubt, Doucet would be a great pick in 2.

Still not seeing it. And picks 1-16 say that it's a Feb 27th update not a 3/17 update like 17-32 and Round 2.

He could also rotate in and play some NT.

His combine performance made his stock rise a lot...but I hear that a lot of teams are viewing him as a boom or bust player. I think he'll be there mid-second...unless some team really wants him.

I wouldn't like that draft at all. Hardy has questionable hands and I don't like McFadden for us at all.

Hardy dominated the Big 10. He's the big redzone target we've lacked since losing Keyshawn Johnson.

Darren McFadden is the best player in this draft. If he falls to us, he has to be the pick if we don't trade out.

I like Hardy a lot, I think he is going to be the second best reciever from this draft behind Limas Sweed. I just am against Mcfadden, he may be a superstar, but I just don't see it, However from a value standpoint it probably the most value possible on day 1, unless somehow Chris Long were to fall to us in round 1, and a guy like Dan Conner, Limas Sweed, James Hardy, or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was hanging out in round 2 for us...

That would be a dream first day for us and finish off the best Jets offseason I can ever remember. If Hardy is gone by our 2nd I would take Devin Thomas and be just as pleased, I'm actually starting to think he will make a better pro WR than Hardy but really either one will do for me.

I'm a Curtis Lofton fan and could see him and Harris in the middle of our defense for years to come but that draft totally transforms our offense. Wouldn't get any complaints out of me.
