The Jets must not be allowing any reporters in and not answering any calls. That tells me they are up to something.
Its pretty much set for the Jets at this point, either Gholston is there at 6 and we take him or hes not and we trade out
I doubt it; if we get McFadden I am sure most of the Jets fans at the draft will be quite happy. :metal:
yes folks - this appears to be unfolding in a not so pleasant way for the jets... but hey - should we expect otherwise?? the way i read it the jets ONLY trade up for chris long and no one else. but the price is obviously high and the rams are likely to stay put. lets see when they are on the clock what happens. i would be curious to hear what the asking price is. it would have to be close to what the giants gave the chargers for manning. if i was tanny i would seriously consider giving them something extra to get it done for long. jil
If these projections are correct I'm gonna be pretty disappointed. Long, Ryan, McFadden is about the worst 2,3,4 imaginable for the Jets. I hope we can trade out of 6 if it works out that way.
I think KC will trade out of 5, probably with NE, so the Pats can get Gholston, and the Chiefs can get Branden Albert at 7. The Jets will then be in a position to trade out, or take Jonathan Stewart at 6. I have no idea what's going on anymore. This 3 o'clock start time is ridiculous.
Good point. Chiefs could take Dorsey at No.7 as well. Either way, it doesn't affect us because it's either RB or CB at this point.
At this point I would prefer that situation to what we might be facing with Gholston the only one left. I'd rather Dorsey at 6 which would give us a pretty decent opportunity to trade out of the spot. Unfortunately I think KC will trade out of their spot to a team that wants Dorsey and we will be left with Gholston or a surprise.
It is becoming obvious. This is all becoming quite laughable at this point. Supposedly the Chiefs want Dorsey but want to trade down as well.
i have been told that the 3:00 start is to enhance the excitement of the fans and give teams more of an opportunity to communicate with each other regarding trades etc etc. whether you believe it or not many many fans are watching the shows, on the net, or at the draft parties - and the 3 hr difference gets everyone juiced a little bit more. personally i am on my 3rd scotch on the way to double digits especially if the jets whiff on long, gholston, and even mcfadden. jil
If anything, it has sucked the momentum out of it. We have Michael Smith and Mortenson all over ESPN leaking reports on who is going where. One of the big stories was who the Rams were taking. They've already pretty much disclosed that they are taking Chris Long. The Falcons are taking Ryan, the Raiders are taking McFadden. Start it at 12 and we're watching it for ourselves instead of having these guys ruin the fun (or misery). They are spoiling the whole top 5.
