Ellis had 5 sacks in a 3-4 scheme. That's not a sack slump, that's above average. 3-4 lineman are not supposed to get sacks. It really burns me up when guys who know nothing about football get writing jobs. -X-
Forget sacks. Ellis just hasn't been as good as he was. He's not Kimo by any means but while he isn't hurting our run defense he certainly didn't do much to help it last season. He came up with big stops and good pressure in clutch situations but was lackluster play-to-play. Yeah, journalism degrees don't come with knowledge of the sports you report on sadly.
