Once a quitter, quitter for life.

He quit on the Jets. Do you want quitter on your team? Not me.

I just read they also released Michael Turner.

I know the guy has a ton of carries, but he's not had many injuries.

I'd be fine with Dunta and Landry in our defensive backfield. Between the two of them we'd take out at least one opposing receiver per game.

The Falcons cleared a lot of cap room today...I wonder if they'd be interested in trading for Revis.

Turner is old, slow, and overpaid.

Abraham is a goldbricking quitter. He can fuck himself.

He's done and washed up. Even though there is a possibility he's better than any rusher we got, I don't want anything to do with that quitter. Screw him.

Yeah he blows.....reminds me of guys like Bruce Smith, Derrick Thomas, Jason Taylor, Julius Peppers, Demarcus Ware, Jared Allen, etc ........

All bums that sack the QB and never win Super Bowls.....hell throw Gastinuea and Klecko in there as well.

Seriously, using the amount of Super Bowl winning teams a PLAYER is apart of to judge their individual career has to be one of the worst arguments a person can make.....unbelievable.

Guys like Barry Sanders, Dan Marino, Randy Moss, Tim Brown, Tony Gonzalez, Champ Bailey, Revis, etc just aren't worth sht .......

Give me Brad Johnson, James Starks, Deion Branch, Santonio Holmes, Kevin Boss, and those bum DBs that won SB MVPs for the Cowboys in 95 and Bucs in 02 anyday!

If we are making all these cuts and trying to save money why would we bring him back. If this is going to be the plan to get younger and let the players that we have play. WHY bring him back. You cant have it one way and not the other. Lets stay focused on youth.

Another great player the jets traded and got nothing in return, cant wait till we are saying this about Revis in 5 years. Abraham had double digit sacks last year but we dont have money for him and he wouldnt want to come here anyway after the way he left

haha, well played (and great shot!)

Abe is a straight up bitch. Trading him, and turning that into Mangold was one of the better moves we made in the Tanny era.

Yeah getting a first rounder we used to deader Mangold definitely lessened the blow of losing Abe.....and as pissed as I was watching him on the sidelines of the Oakland and Pittsburgh playoff games, he was still a dynamic pass rusher and the best the Jets have ever had since I been following the team in the early 90s.....

Hopefully this is the draft where we finally get a pass rushing freak ...... throw him out there with Mo and Coples and have a couple coverage guys pressing WRs at the LOS would be a thing of beauty!

We need an outside linebacker who can rush the quarterback. John Abraham is an outside linebacker who can rush the quarterback. I realize we're pissed at how he left the team, but it's a business, and I'm not going to hold a grudge if he can help the team out.

I would agree more if the Jets were a pass rusher away from a championship... they are not.

Ideally we'll draft someone who will provide that presence for years. Abraham was unreliable when he was younger, I can't imagine that has improved with age.

Is the quitter label strictly from the 04 playoff games or other incidents as well? I can't remember.
