Good job today. Really need to sweep the next two vs the Jays, and then it's a HUGE series vs Tampa on the weekend. Kay pointed out we have a lot of gms remaining against Baltimore, Boston and Tampa. Our destiny is, in fact, in our own hands.
The main problem with suspensions is the stupid appeal process. It should be that if you lose the appeal, you get extra games added on to the suspension. Instead, it allows pitches to game the system. They "appeal" the suspension until they start, and then they drop the appeal. Adam Warren starts on Wednesday.
2 straight losses. Must win today. Only 4.5 back but with BAL and OAK playing each other, we need to keep pace with whoever wins, something we didn't do the last 2 days. The Rays and Sox are tied for the division lead, we are 8 back in the loss column for that, and 5 back in the loss column for Oakland for WC spot #2.
Needed that win. 3.5 back in the WC race, 4 in the loss column. 7 back of the rays in the loss column.
Bad loss. I wasn't expecting us to go 30-0 to close out the season, but the Blue Jays come on. Now 4.5 back. Overall, from last week to this week, we made some great progress. Now to continue onwards from this week to next week
TB plays OAK this weekend, so if we win, we can pick up ground on one of the 2 WC teams no matter this weekend.
^^ CC has been really disappointing since the AS break. If it weren't for being the NYY, I think people would be saying how ridiculous it is to be "in" the WC race still
