I think it's a decent signing and not too long as long as he stays healthy

I'm just happy the Mets signed someone with more skill than my grandmother.

So you didn't stick to your word and become an Angels fan.

    The Young signing is okay.

Does this make the Chris Young deal worst in your minds? Maybe the Brewers might be interested in Ike now.

No. Hart is not NY material.

Chris Young is more equipped to handle NY. If he plays like he did a few years ago, the fans will like him.

Mets will sign Bartolo Colon pending a physical. That is a good signing. If they could also add Bronson Arroyo that would be really good.

Not usually a fan of signing 40 year olds. But I like this signing. He's been pretty good the last two years in the AL.

Colon 2/20M That's crazy to me. I'm sorry his ped history scares me more so than any other player. I personally believe he had the year he had, because he was using. Colon Age/weight/ped history. I hope I'm wrong but I don't have a good feeling about this. Sidebar ped when caught is suppose to cost these guys money, right? That doesn't appear to be the case when looking at Peralta and Colon contract. Why would these guys stop using when they are only going to be rewarded?

He did his time and came back and was still good.

He is going to the NL. He should still be good.

The money it costs them is whatever pay they don't collect while suspended, it doesn't have anything to do with future contracts.

As far as Colon, he was even better last year than he was the year he got suspended for the PED use and given the fact that he was linked to Biogenesis you have to think that if baseball had any evidence or indication that he was using again after that suspension they would've hit him with further penalty.

Hate both signings. Outfielder Chris Young has always been very overrated.

Metsblog put it best. He's a stop gap signing. Harvey will be out of the next season. In 15, he probably won't be the same pitcher he was this season. He'll be gone in 16, Harvey will be in full form and we will have the best 1-2-3 in baseball.

He can hit homers and steal bases, but he never got a lot of fanfare.

I do a lot of baseball analysis. I studied Young's BABIP, VORP and MOTHRA numbers. These numbers tell me that a season of 22 home runs, a .250 average and 17 stolen bases can be expected.

He sat a lot against RHPs this past season, and still had an OBP of .280

The point of Colon is so that, that isn't the case. If we didn't sign him, we'd be short some starters, at least until the prospects were ready.

Colon will break down in August ; Darnaud will be hurt again and the bullpen will probably be in shambles by that time (whoever they are) .

If he breaks down in August, it wont really matter because the team will be 18 games out by then.

I can't wait for baseball season to start. I'm interested in seeing how our younger players have developed
