I think this is going to come back to bite us sometime this season.

His defense was awful. No range. His bat was questionable, and despite being a switch hitter, can only hit from one side. The guy was absolutely brutal against lefties. It's fine.

I can just see him hitting a game winning HR off Wagner sometime this season.

Mother f***er. This will bite us in the ass sometime soon. His D is questionable but the guy can swing the stick well.

Yeah, I really liked Gotay's bat when he was here.

Poll on who will win the WS. Mets and Angels not in it. "Don't forget..." is getting 42% of the vote.

Not sure how Diamondbacks, Cubs, and Mariners are ahead of Mets and Angels.

they had to get rid of him, willie would've gotten tired of explaining why valentin was getting AB's over him.

Here is the likely opening day roster

Starting Pitchers: Johan Santana, Pedro Martinez, John Maine, Oliver Perez and Mike Pelfrey

Relief Pitchers: Billy Wagner, Aaron Heilman, Pedro Feliciano, Scott Schoenweiss, Jorge Sosa, Matt Wise and Joe Smith

Starting Lineup: Jose Reyes, Luis Castillo, David Wright, Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, Ryan Church, Angel Pagan and Brian Schneider.

Bench Players: Brady Clark, Endy Chavez, Marlon Anderson, Damion Easley and Raul Casanova (assuming Ramon Castro begins the season on the disabled list).

I had heard Fernando Tatis was likely to make the roster over Clark, but maybe Tatis was waived this morning and I haven't heard about it yet.

The lineup is looking real weak at the bottom, Mets really need Delgado to have a bounce back year.

I'm convinced Church will have the 20-25 HR power. Average is another story. I'd expect somewhere around .270.

The Mets confirmed Pelfrey, Clark and Joe Smith made the roster, so Tatis is as good as gone.
