Oh, it's English but it's obviously a coded message. Probably something like "Afghanistan Banana Stand."
It's a take on MParty7441's ancient airport thread that somehow survived old board crashes. It rises from the dead like a zombie when you least expect it. You had to be there, I guess. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/worse-day-at-the-airport-ever.343/
I'll trust you. Since most of you are dealing with the same old Jets disease, please write your opinions on the new uniforms prior to seeing them. In fact, lots of you have already decided and are just waiting to post your bitch fest. Times like this, I feel like a giant or Pat fan... leave at that.
Adam Gase's mom? previous post: tried matching the Norman Bates sinister leer with McDowell (both peering upward....and while crazy, both projecting 'in control'). .
those of us who go back to the 60s fully expect based on team history that the front office and ownership will blow this change as well......
no, we don't! we have been jet fans long enough to have already refined that skill in respone to years of fromt office and ownership bonehead decisions.....
Nothing firm. Early April looks to be the answer. Enough time to update all the graphics etc for the draft but still as late as possible. The Titans were similar. I also had a very weird theory pop into my head the other day that is release them for the greenest day of the year. Drop the new logo and unis around Wednesday March 13th and you have 4 days to flood NYC and surrounding area retailers for St. Patricks Day. You could even do some sort of press conference/rally on St Pats in the morning then have teams of marketing people running around town handing out free hats and t shirts. Drunk people + free stuff is always a winning combination.
Okay just saw a thing under the newest social media post on the team about this. *Update: the below list was from a comment post stating all info was collected from various ESPN reports. I cannot verify without finding the articles themselves.* "Allegedly Confirmed by ESPN": -New color is lighter then now but darker then color rush -Release date is the end of the first week of April -There will be an event releasing everything at one time -The 3rd overall pick will be receiving the new jersey and hat on stage -Every currently signed player has already tried on the new uniform
Link? I see the Riddell factory on the Jets Instagram but no comments on anything you listed. That said, if true, the color scheme confirms what the "insider" was saying earlier in this thread.
I like that they are going with a single, lighter color of green. So far so good. As long as they don't try to get too cute or cutting edge, this could work out (although I'd prefer to leave uniforms as is, just with the lighter color). Hopefully it's not massive changes, as Nike never does that well.
That would be a GREAT marketing promotion if they had their shit together..... but I'm sure their main target date is to just get it all lined up before "draft" merchandise is set to release..... if they really are rebranding (and not just some color tweaks, which would be stupid) it's a huge undertaking for a business like this. Just think of ALL the logo / branding stuff you see everywhere. Ideally you try to get most of that all done at once
