It reminds me of a smaller fed ex field, that's the interior model they seem to be following. Now I've never been to a game there, but the upper deck looks to be siberia.

Giants stadium is more "compact" and what helps it is the overhangs. The upper deck almost covers the entire mez.

That's right. It's been said for years that "there are no bad seats in Giants Stadium" and this is pretty much true (except for maybe up in the last rows in the Upper Section... up by the seagulls). For the most part you get a pretty good view of the game. That looks like it'll change somewhat and the boxes will dominate the sidelines. That's okay with me as long as they get the boxes to pay the heavy freight and leave us regular guys alone.

I'm with you... If we were getting some revolutionary new stadium like the WSS was going to be, it might be a different story.

But Giants Stadium is pretty perfect as far as a basic bowl stadium design goes... The coverage the Mezzanine level, and all the way down to about row 24 in the lower level have is awesome for an open cold-weather city stadium...

Why do we need to pay more for another basic bowl stadium, except with more places to spend money inside? Seems silly to me

It's more than silly, it's a criminal waste of public and private money, not to mention the $600,000 the NFL is kicking in. I'm surprised the NFL is going along with this. What's the benefit for them? For that matter, what's the benefit for the public? They could have run a rail head to the Meadowlands and been done with it.

227, I couldn't agree more... That second post I quoted was one I missed my first time through this thread.... This stadium looks more and more like a screw-job for the fans every day....

Another problem is they will wait until the very last minute to spring the psl on the ticket holders. They should have announced them all ready and at least give the little some time to come up with some $$$

This is where I'm coming from too, Hoobash. The '08 and '09 seasons at the Jets games will still be expensive for me (over $4,000 for 4 seats + $150 Prepaid Parking) but I'll bring my family and we'll enjoy them as much as possible.

When the 2010 season opens, there's no telling what we're in for. If we get hit with a PSL, it's really going to hurt a lot of people, myself included.

Anyone know who will get the 1st regular season home game? Jets or Giants? We'll probably get screwed on that deal as well, thanks Woody...

I have been to a game there and sat in the upper deck and the view was awful, you are so far away. It is nothing compared to the upper deck at the Meadowlands.

That's me also. I have seasons for 28 years and once the PSL's are issued, I am done. I have one daughter going to College in 2009 anotther starting high school. Anything over $2500 and I am done. I wonder who is going to announce the PSL's first, the Giants or the Jets? How can the Jets ask for the same $ as the Giants seeing as we suck and they are the Champs. I would have been very happy staying right where we are. Oh well, HDTV rules

I looked at the renderings for both stadiums and there is absolutely nothing to indicate that the Cowboys new stadium is any nicer or state of the art or fan friendly than the new Meadowlands. My God - the grass is always greener for some of you people. Do you want a stadium or not?

Yeah people are going to flock to the Meadowlands to go indoor skiing when THe Poconos, Mount Vernon & Hunter are all just as close and it's "Real" skiing. Xanadau is such a joke - What a cluster F

Does it really matter that much? Who really cares? Do Knick fans get pissed because the Rangers always have their home opener first? I would expect that, since this is a shared stadium, the home openers will be more evenly distributed in the new stadium. However, because this stadium was originally going to be the Giants' home and the Jets became partners later, don't be surprised if the Giants get the first game. Maybe the Jets will have the first preseason game. Would that make you happy?
