So Florio is stiring up something for the sake of doing it without much backing? Why write the article before contacting the Jets themselves? What good does that do? If the Jets declined to speak, then its fair game to put the article up but why start up a controversy without much standing ground or by hearing the other side of the argument. Just a poor job by Florio....
Is it me or does that look a bit fake with his vest "dicretely" opened to show a NY Jets T-Shirt........
I was reading the comments on the first link and just cracking up. So many men down on their knees to suck the Patriots off. More proof of their homo fan base!
Take a look at any of the comments involving the Jets or Pats on PFT. It's a Patriot fanboy suck-off fest.
they are mad because the "drama" only lasted 2 minutes. Now they have to wait 4 hrs until their soaps air to get their fix.
If he gets hits it was a great job. The new media is designed solely to capture the consumer's attention for the .32 milliseconds it takes to register a hit and get paid by the advertisers. At the rate we're going all information flow will be subliminal in our lifetimes and nobody will actually know anything at all, we'll all just have that nagging feeling that something important just went by. Alongside our sudden urge to buy something we never knew existed and only technically know about now on some primal level.
Florio and the crew at PFT, along with thousands of bandwagon Pats fans, hoped they had something. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. Way to check into something before reporting it.
Yes. And the Jets quickly and convincingly shot down Florio's story. But, because he is a small person and a Jets hater, his smug piece after being correctly called out by the Jets continues to feed into some conspiracy. I fucking hate that guy, and it seems only a bunch of Pats fans who suck off Brady as much as he does belong to the site.
In that sense you are right but his reputation as a credible reporter has to take a hit, if it already hasn't by Jets fans.
He had no credibility with Jets fans. All this did was increase his popularity with Pats fans. He realizes he has zero credibility (or chance of brakes being applied if he is in a crosswalk) with Jets fans. He's now serving red meat to his partisan Pats base.
This is a silly comparison. Spygate was a big deal because the patriots were taping the other teams practices. The Jets have a camera guy on the field? OH NO, THERE AREN'T USUALLY CAMERA GUYS ON THE FIELD!!!! Gimmie a fuckin break, how many times have you seen a player go out of bounds and hit a guy with a camera? As for stealing signals, there is no reason to even bother video taping on the field. You could sit a lip reader up in the coaches box with a pair of binoculars. Some teams probably do...if you missed it, rob ryan added something to his playsheet for them a few weeks ago: http://deadspin.com/5841678/rob-ryans-play-chart-has-a-photo-of-a-woman-in-a-bikini-on-it/gallery/1 Regardless, this is nowhere near the level of taping the other teams practice and basically stealing a few superbowls like the pats did.
I have some experience with this. There is a marked off area around the bench where media cameras can not cross. They are allowed along the rest of the sidelines- that's where you see the player/photographer collisions. The team employed photographers have a different security laminate and are allowed within the bench area.
