Good post. The only thing I disagree with is your bolded comment about not asking Geno to complete the whole route tree. IMO any QB that can't do that, isn't worth having. When opposing teams know they don't have to worry about defending certain routes, they are able to shut down the others most effectively. It happened with Chad eventually. Teams have to be able to utilize the entire route tree to keep opposing Ds off balance and be consistently effective.

You said to keep the interceptions under 30, that's a pointless comment because he's never thrown 30 or more ints. No one is "defending" Geno. It's been acknowledged that he was bad the last 2 years. But not everyone deems him a hopeless case that has no chance to get better. Some people like myself are rooting for him to succeed because it benefits the Jets considering we've already invested 2 years into his development and would love to see a return in said investment.
A full season of Geno could generate 30 interception so asking to keep it under 30 is realistic lol. I'm rooting for someone to force Bowles hand and outplay Geno for the starting job from day 1. Our best chance for the season is Geno holding a clipboard. Bowles need a fresh start and to change the mindset right away
If Gailey is gonna make his offense customized to suit Geno's strengths then he is gonna have to train his offense to sit a lot, cuz Geno is best when he isn't playing...... I sincerely hope that Geno is on a short leash. Give him a few games to see if he has anything. If not, yank him and put in Fitz before the season is gone. I say Geno gets four games max unless he shows some serious growth.
