Why are people so down on Cutler when I hear him being compared to Farve. There's no way he makes it out of the top 10! If we draft a QB then it should be him...I see him being a better pro then Leinart and way better then Young! Just look at what he did at his pro-day.

    5. Doug Jolley (only because we spent a draft pick to get him)

Sorry... as a long time Jets fan I cringe when I see a person suggest taking a TE in the 1st round...

But how much of a gamechanger is Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzales. I don't want us to draft a TE but Vernon is more likely to be the next Shannon Sharpe than the next Kyle Brady.

Kiwi is a wasted pick for the Jets because he's too small to play 34 DE and doesn't have the skills to play 43 OLB

If the board fell that way I would have taken Jay Cutler and LenDale White

Fill two premium positions of need, QB of the future and RB of the future ... done and done!

Standout Left Tackles don't grow on trees.

Also, right or wrong the Jets invested a lot to get Jolly last year so to give up on him after one season would be a tough pill to sallow.

Vikings will not take a WR with their first pick. They are not the Lions.

YES but none of those teams have WON a SUPER BOWL...a Tight End is NICE but not INTEGRAL to winning a Super Bowl..Look at the teams that have one in the last cojuple of years..They have decent to good TE's but not BIG GAMERS..The Steeler TE was just a rookie who had a good season NOT a BLOWUP kind of season..A LT or RT is much more important but in that same breath I do not want D'Brick, I think he is undersized for the NFL as of now...IMHO

F* That. All other things being Equal, (Assuming the rest of their picks, are accurate) at 4 you either take Cutler or Davis, and at 29, you take Maroney.

2 OL in the first round

What would everyone think if the jets used their fourth pick on d'brickashaw ferguson and their 29th pick on nick mangold. Would this help to greatly boost the quality of our o-line or is it wasting picks with other talent on the board.

I just don't think Mario is going #2. I think he will be there at #4 if we want him. Culter will go befroe #10 and Young will definitely go before #13. I really don't think Leinart will fall to #5 either.

It would be tragic if the Jags snatch Mangold at #28...

I have a feeling the gameplan is to take Mario at 4 if he is available, and if he's not, draft Cutler at 4 or try and find someone to move down far enough to still get Cutler. #29 I wouldn't even try and speculate on cause so many things could happen by that pick. Who knows whos slipped, who's risen etc.

    Keyshawn underachieved?? Hell no.

And those other guys you mentioned, fine the Jets missed on those picks, but those are just isolated incidents. The point is the Jets have whiffed on a tight end SO MANY TIMES.. any Jets fan who has been around since Johnny Mitchell is going to get queasy when the chances of drafting a first round tight end is mentioned.
