Another question, are we gonna use minor leaguers too? I know in some leagues, they let you draft the rights to minor leaguers so if they come up, you have them on your team (so each team gets their own farm system, per se)
Im really interested. I love being part of things like this. Im involved in quite a few fantasy legaues, and i started up a mock draft for this site, so im not one of those people who join but give up. Add me to the list if possible
Do you know how many lower levels there are in baseball? AAA, AA, A, High A, Low A, Short Season A, Rookie League, Advance Rookie League, Independent, NCAA, & high school. I really don't want to follow Pacific Coast baseball to follow people that'll never make it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_minor_league_baseball_leagues_and_teams
I agree that we don't really need to add in minor leaguers to this league. If you have an interset in joining something like that I can give you the link to a dynasty league I am in which is looking for some new owners. For the people above you can definitly be added to the list which already has either one or two names on it. If we decide ot expand to 14 or more teams I will let you know in here and send you a PM. Another thing we need to figure out are the stat catagories. Does everyone want a standard 5 by 5 set up or do you want more, different stats added to each side.
I would personally like to add OBP and I'm not sure on what to add for a pitcher. The 5 normal stats are W, ERA, WHIP, K, and... what (blanking out right now)? Maybe IP or OBP-against would be good.
I don't know, I like IP - it adds value to those guys who eat innings, but aren't big stats guys, weighted right it won't skew in their favour either.
I like 5x5 H2H personally.. Offense - HR, RBI, R, SB, AVG Pitching - W, ERA, K, WHIP, SAVES Getting away from that can cause confusion.
So, yahoo leagues are available today, if we're using that I guess we can expect a PM with the signup details imminently? :excited:
