another good story on Quinn from PFW: The Jets and Dolphins deserve kudos for hiring rising defensive-line coaches this past week. After refusing to sign a contract extension with Miami, Dan Quinn, who served as the Dolphins’ D-line coach the past two seasons and presided over a veteran unit that was one of the best in the league, was fired by new Miami head coach Cam Cameron. Quinn, who is expected to vie for a defensive-coordinator position in the not-to-distant future, was quickly snapped up by Eric Mangini and the Jets. It should be a great pickup, with Quinn having experience coaching the 3-4 scheme preferred by Mangini from his time with Dom Capers in Houston and Miami.
