That's pretty much how message boards are. The first 24 hours of bad news bears, forget it. It's like a nuclear war zone. After that, it gets calm..

As for Chris Ivory, yes please. RB would not be a need if we get him.

I would have no problem giving up a 6th. A 5th would be okay as well, but nothing earlier than that.

emotions were running high man, I got over it in my sleep

trading Revis is a personal issue as far as what he's trying to do from now on I love, everything he's doing is just like what Seattle did and thats getting me excited along with hearing Rex was scouting DJ Hayden

its TGG man, we love the Jets sometimes and we hate them sometimes

A 6th round pick for Ivory would be awesome.

5th round would be tolerable, too. But nothing earlier than that.

We really do need Ivory he is a young 2nd year player. He can run and break through lines has good speed but also has a powerhouse type sense to him.
Trading a 5th or 6th is essential in this draft why you ask ? If we get Ivory we fill a needed hole and can focus on other holes look at it if we trade or him we can
    Grab potentially

    #9 - OLB
    #13 - S or OL
Our 2nd round is important too. Actually MORE important
We could get a TE or CB and not have to worry about a RB.
I would love Gio or Franklin but Ivory is plenty enough

Ivory,Goodson and Powell seems solid they are all young and they
Are work horses. Point blank we NEED Ivory

I completely agree. Both guys are underrated and could shine if given the opportunity.

We shouldn't give up more then a 6th for him. Saints don't want to pay him 2 million to be the 4th RB. He signed the tender knowing full well no team was gonna go near him when it woulda meant giving up a 2nd rd pick.

I think you're really selling this guy short. Check out the Atlanta run. He's an young undrafted RB but looking better than their Heisman Trophy draft pick imho.

    http://www.neworleanssaints.com/med...-Yard-TD/19b80815-5429-472c-98e2-331e3e252ee5

He'll hopefully only cost a 5th rounder & his salary is likely to be around 2.5M. Unless Jets are gonna spend a 2nd or 3rd rounder, I've got serious doubts they can find a RB with more upside. Pick this guy up & use the 2nd or 3rd rounder to plug in one of the other big weaknesses, like: G, S, TE, OLB. Would also be a smart move to seriously consider young prospect for WR, RT, second safety, second OLB, MLB if they're BPA.

Chris Ivory is the chance for Jets to have a legit RB combo without spending a high pick. Ivory's got some knocks like his injury history. However, none of them have been knee injuries & he's had no knee surgeries (or none that I'm aware of). Remember we're talking about round 5 pick. Odds aren't good for round 5 picks to be starters for many teams.

God this is making me anxious!!!

Get it done already. Sucks because we might not see anything happen until day 3 of the draft :/

It won't unless they take the 6th. Jets might find somebody to draft that is better before that.

Rounds 4-7 start on the third day.

You're right though. The only thing that would stop them would be taking a guy sooner in the draft.

According to overthecap.com the Saints RB cap numbers are as follows:

    Sproles: $3.75M
    Thomas: $2.5M
    Ivory: $2.023M
    Ingram: $2.023M
    Cadet: $0.482M

As a team the Saints are sitting at $900K below the cap.

I think the Saints need to move Ivory more than the Jets need to acquire him. Imo, Idzik should stand firm on the 6th round pick.

Honestly I'd consider trading a 6th round pick and swapping 1st round picks(13 and 14) to get it done...

I rather draft or own guy.bell, ball or lacy would be a nice upgrade. I still rather sign a free agent for a one year deal.

    list of what's left:

    bradshaw
    benson
    turner
hillis ( maybe can return to old form)
    battle
felix jones ( guy deserves another shot)
    slaton

Plus whoever gets released after the draft.

Saints GM RT @LarryHolder Loomis said there's been plenty of talks with teams for Chris Ivory outside of the Jets and including the Jets.

I am thinking that is Idzik's thought too..he may very well pick a back in the 4th, 5th or 6th if there is somebody available when it's our turn.
