That's interesting...Pelfrey has shown some promise as of late though. Frankly, I don't like the fact we have to make this decision. In March, when the Mets were signing everyone from Sosa to Chan Ho, I thought they were really just throwing everything at the wall seeing what stuck. And now, everything's peeling off...Makes you wonder if Minaya should've tried to acquire a starter--a legitimately established one--a few months ago. Meanwhile, Milledge's DP scores a run but kills the rally as a whole.
With Green/Pitcher coming up I'll submit that a GIDP that got the run in really wasn't all that harmful.
Very true, nevertheless, there weren't any outs, and you never know what could've happened. Sosa picks up where he left off; the leadoff man is on. Pull him.
Well, it's a half-hour later, and nothing has happened to change that feeling. It's remarkable how many games the Mets have seemed totally out of, given that they have the best record in the NL.
It may just seem that way given the contrast between last season and this season. Now as you guys know I'm a pretty negative person, but the Mets team last year even down a couple runs late had you feeling like they could come back. They showed a stat a week or so ago with the Mets record when trailing after 6 or 7 innings this year compared to last year and it was just staggering.
