    That’s one of the benefits of the 3-4 defense, it’s inherently better against the run. The dline primary job is not set up for pass rush, it’s to eat up space in gaps to allow LB to make plays.

    The wide 9 Saleh uses is inherently weak against the run between tackles, but with correct IDL and LB it could be a really good defense.

    No one really ran well to the outside of the Jets defense, it was the runs in between tackles that killed them.

    Think of Tampa with Sapp as their IDL and Brooks as their LB, question is are we going to find two guys that can play near that level, not necessarily HOF but close.

    I’m also not a fan of Nathan being re-signed.

    They need a linebacker that can fly sideline to sideline with some instincts. Maybe this kid from Utah is the answer as the 2nd 1st round pick

    Ya--if Nathan Shepherd is part of your DL rotation your roster is lacking.
