so the only difference between your 5 and my 5 is that i still beleive in Penny...but i like your other 4
this is true... I just laugh at people who think he'll return... I'm hopeful he can, but the reality is he's all but done... Ellis
Here are six guys to build around and we could get all six in the draft. LenDale White RB 6-1, 235 Southern California Brodrick Bunkley DT 6-2, 300 Florida State Marcus McNeill OT 6-8, 322 Auburn Nick Mangold C 6-3, 297 Ohio State Charlie Whitehurst QB 6-4, 216 Clemson Mark Setterstrom OG 6-3, 318 Minnesota
were are we gonna get 3 1st rd picks considering kiper just said bunkley has risen to a mid to late 1st
Vilma - The only guy who is on everyone's list, 'nuff said Robertson - He's shown flashes of his potential, and with a new coach I think he will live up to his draft status D'Brick - Lose Mawae, Kendall is old and Jones could be a plus LT, but nothing else special on the line. D'Brick is smart, athletic and physical. He'll put more weight onto his 6'6 frame and protect the Jets QB blind side for the next 8 years Miller - Shown what he can do week 17 last year #5 - NOBODY
Trade down from #4 to say #9 so Detroit can get a QB. IF not Detroit then someone else. Pick up a 2nd round pick. Draft LenDale White with #9 pick Trade Abe for a mid to late 1st rounder and pick Brodrick Bunkley with that pick. With the #36 pick we select Marcus McNeill. The #2 we were given to drop down in the 1st round would be used to get Nick Mangold. The #68 pick we use to get the QB of our future in Charlie Whitehurst. Lastly we use the comp pick from Jordan to solidify our OL with Mark Setterstrom. How hard is that?
OLine: Jones and/or Ferguson if we draft him SkiLLs: Coles n most possibly the #4 pick wether its cutler williams young etc DLine: ELLis LBs: Vilma BaCks: the Safties n Miller SpeciaL teams: Nugget n Dressen(whoever that TE that they drafted last yr)
I have my doubts of McNeill and Mangold falling that far. However if that happened, the Jets will have had a hell of a draft.
Okay, first things first, you build a team from the BALL...out... Ellis, Pennington, Robertson, Vilma, A speedy RB from the draft, Abraham. Ellis, and Abe, are obvious, and adding in DRob, you only need find a Bigger stronger guy to tie up the middle to allow DRob to use his quickness. Pennington is a known commodity that can produce at a high level, however, the lack of speed from the backfield is what alows teams to cheat up, and INSIDE. They know they are never going to get burned for more than 15,20 yards by the RB, if they get caught in a mistake, fix that, and you pretty much fix the offense.
