If Joe is so wise why isn't he a special adviser to the Jets? He seems to be full of opinions, yet the only recognition that the Jets give him is "oh hey, you won our only Superbowl, great... when was that , 40 + years ago"? Yeah right, go have a cocktail and hang outside ESPN studio's". Fact is I am neither a Tebow fan, nor hater. but I will say this; let's take him with the assumption that we have added a very talented , athletic "football player", Fuck all this Sanchez "look over your shoulder shit". The guy can be used in so many ways because of his versatility, he's young, he can developed into many different types of positions and who's to say he couldn't play on special teams additionally. I say good move... he can used used SOMEWHERE...

He won us a SB when I was two years old, doesn't really impress me much anymore. He's a loud mouth drunk, living off one accomplishment, during a year when his QB stats would be lucky to place him in the top twenty today.

I'm tried of hearing from him.

Too bad the Jets keep giving him reason to do so. Has this organization actually done 'any'thing right since winning their Super Bowl in New England?

Yeah I'm sure Joe's quaking in his boots that Tim frigging Tebow is going to lead us to the promised land. Let's face it, not only is he right but he's saying things a lot of us are saying in other threads. But I guess he can't say it or it comes off as jealousy.

Why should he shut up? He may have been a QB but he's now a fan just like the rest of us.

How many fans on this board say the same stuff he is saying?
I find it refreshing to hear a passionate fan,who also happens to be somewhat in the media, speak the truth about how he feels as opposed to the same canned responses we get from others.

It doesn't matter weather I agree with him or not but, imo, Joe's a fan like me expressing himself.

I know Joe's has not been very popular with a lot of Jets fans. But, lets be honest, he's been right on just about everything. He warned everyone over a year ago about over hyping the players and the lack of discipline.

This old, drunk motherfucker has been right a lot in the last few months. Clearly, it's a sign that our franchise is turning for the worse. When Mr. "I just wanna kiss you" himself is a better decision maker than the GM, there's big time problems.

The game was far different back then. If you don't know that, it's hard to make sense of why I or anyone else should pay attention to your posts. That and your avatar will force me to put you on ignore.

    have a nice day.

As for Joe, he has as much right to say what he thinks as anyone else, more so, really. And he happens to be right, again.

And those cakeholes here who refer to the greatest player in Jet history are not only disrespectful, they are wrong. Joe has been sober for quite awhile now.

So you are wrong on both counts.

It was a publicity stunt, and not a good football move. Pay attention and stop being such homers.

I care alot more about what Joe says than that poster, who I frankly care not a thing what he thinks or says.

SO he also is factually wrong, once again.

I've hated the re-incarnation of Old man Drunken Joe for the past 3 years...

I have said "WHERE WAS JOE WHEN WE NEEDED HIM - KOTITE"

Well, after yesterdays brilliant move I think the Kotite years are back - So, Joe, you now have my blessing.

RIP THE JETS ALL YOU WANT....

I resisted the clown / circus talk but, after this, The Jets are a complete joke.

Rip em Joe.... THIS, is the best thing IMO that could have happened to you and your resurection.
