These umpires are killing me. Took forever on a challenge, and he clearly ran out the baseline. He's on the damn grass. So stupid.
The Mets were boring me so I put on the 1967 Jets highlight film. Now I am watching the AFL Game of the Week film of the 10-8-66 game. The Jets beat the Chargers 17-16.
I turned it on just when Pitt had 2nd and 3rd and no outs and watched Mejia miraculously get out of it. Of course I stuck around to watch the rest. Dammit. _
Only the Mets. Niese gets hit in the back, remove him for precautionary reasons and....it's his shoulder. Honestly, when Wright was sat down for his left shoulder I was sure he was gone for the season with an ACL tear. _
deGrom with a great game tonite. Seven innings, no runs, no walks, 11 strikeouts. This is the kind of game that's going to keep the Wilpons thinking good things are right around the corner. A staff of Harvey, Wheeler, deGrom, Niese, Syndegard with Gee and Montero in the mix? Why spend money on offense when we can just shut other teams down? Geez. _
I just think he's nicked up. They gotta do something with those fences. Murph smoked a ball last night that goes out a lot of places and it hit half way up the wall. _
I dunno, he's always been better against lefties but his righty splits are as bad as anyone the Mets have put out there this season. If he's (still) injured he needs to cut the shit and get himself out of the lineup and healthy until he can outproduce Tejada, D'arnaud, Youngs etc
