I watch this team sometimes and I feel like I'm watching a horror film. Murphy dude I love you but that inexcusable. We take game 2.

Hopefully Syndergaard won't be out for long, tough break.

At least we won't have to see Valverde again

So, am I supposed to be impressed that Alderson has finally dumped Valverde?

And how many times has changing a hitting instructor actually accomplished anything? Sorry, I believe that talent is the key, not advice in the batting cage.

Hudgens comes off like an idiot blaming the fans and the SNY crew for the team sucking. Check out Adam Rubin's twitter line from today. It's very amusing and I think he's right on point.

I just have to wonder about this "philosphy" on offense. Why do you give away strikes early in the count? Opposing pitchers know the Mets are gonna take perfectly good pitches so they throw meatballs early knowing the Mets won't swing. If that's not enough, if the Mets are as numbers conscious as they claim, perhaps the offense rating near bottom would be a big hint that their system just doesn't work with this roster.

There are so many things wrong with the Mets. Ballpark too big. Operating capital too small. Talent level too low. Ownership too stupid.... Man, this list can get really long, really fast.

When their attendance falls below 10K per game in real bodies, they might get it. Then again, the Wilpons aren't going away quietly. They may not be as bad as Joan Payson or Don Sterling, but they are as toxic when it comes to PR and in a age when prices far outstrip the product on the field, that's a really bad combo.

The ballpark is not too big. Other teams play there and they seem to do fine.

I agree dude. Plus all we hear is how the future for us is pitching. If pitching is going to be our strength then I don't see why it would be wise to change the park.

As bad as it's been and as disinterested as I am in the team right now we are only 3 games out and can really bury Philly the next few games. Their staff is hurting.

Atlanta doesn't look as good ever since Harang and Santana have come back down to earth either.

Too bad the Fish lost Fernandez. He could've been their ticket to a division title.

Shitty record but it's wide open.

Argh Chris Young can't do anything right. You're a major league player dude. Luis Castillo flash backs. $7.25 million can't even catch a fly ball.

Don't agree with this at all. It's one thing to come in for a 3 game set, opposing players have said you don't do anything to change your swing. You're not intimidated by the ballpark.

You play 81 games there and it gets in your head and you attack ABs differently. Not that we have $$ but FA hitters are not going to want to play here. You can have all the pitching in the world, losing 2-1 is still a loss.

The elite home run hitter may not sign with the Mets now, but those guys aren't hitting free agency anymore.

I think blaming the ballpark dimensions is an excuse for sucking.

Degrom looked tired. Looked like he didn't have anything left. Can't blame Terry for leaving him in though. After yesterday game our bullpen is depleted. I hope we don't find out Degrom is hurt, and he just didn't want to admit it.

I started watching in the 6th inning. deGrom just looked tired. If the Mets lose this game, that'll probably be it for the season for me as far as staying in on a nice weather day to watch this team.

I could have had more enjoyment watching the 1947 NFL Championship Game or the 1970 Lions-Cowboys playoff game.

Watching the Mets against anyone is tough enough but these last couple games have been particularly brutal, the Phillies are every bit as inept and unwatchable as they are.

Was suppose go out to eat today but nope watching the Mets. I've watched every second of yesterday game and today's game. #loyal Mets take the lead but now in the bottom of the 14th PHI have men on 1st & 2nd no outs. Uh, Oh! That was a rough watched but we take the win!

Great series in Philly..who knows what happens if Young catches that ball. We might've swept em.

3 games coming up against the shitty Cubs. Could do some more damage there. Wright and Murph always kill it there.

    Keep it goin!

I don't get how this team can leave so many men on base. Wheeler has been looking good. Shame they couldn't get him some runs.
